Yesterday I switched to running 100% C4CW and expect it to take a couple of days to finish other projects in the queue.
----------------------------------------I need 27 days of run time to get Emerald, should have that in a couple of days. I need 392 days of run time to get Sapphire, should have that in about 25 days.

Today I got a lot of Inconclusives in the results status.
----------------------------------------Don't think they are anything to worry about but it is unusual to get so many.

Oops! Moved a Cat5 cable and left network activity suspended overnight.
----------------------------------------Probably lost 4-5 days of run time. Tempted to increase overclocking to make up for it. However, I have 4 Sapphire badges on my wish list and can wait until I get them to experiment with XPM and additional overclocking. Should have all 4 by early May.

Your competition is team Decrypthon a partner in the HCMD2 project.
----------------------------------------They had about 8,000 members at one time. They are located in Paris, France. They have one member Hypernova that has 16 i7s mostly -980s. Each i7-980 has 6 cores and hyper threading, so he alone could have about 192 cores. Tough to compete with them. Good luck..

In spite of myself, by tomorrow 1200 UTC I will have an Emerald badge in C4CW.
----------------------------------------Still project a Sapphire badge in C4CW on or about 1/28/2012.

nasher, you can do 1 year in about 28 days, which isn't bad.
----------------------------------------If you need less than 299 days you can do it in 23 days. I'm cheering for you. One thing I don't like about WCG is that we must compete with corporations, universities, and IT guys with access to 100s of computers. It is not a level playing field. When I see a cruncher with all Sapphire badges I know they didn't buy that processing power out of their own pocket. I relate more to individuals that do the best they can with whatever resources they have. It is good for WCG to have power crunchers but I wish they competed amongst themselves. Before I came to WCG in 2007 I was crunching at United Devices. It was no different there. I do the best I can with the resources I have and if I get a lot of blue badges so be it. Will not lose any sleep over this. And I do not envy any cruncher that can do better.

Many little trickles make one big river, rcc
- I do know of one or two who actually for reasons I don't know yet crunch in private with the same eagerness and quantity as I post. I myself dread the day I have to aquire new equipment to replace my Lenovo XP desktop and Lenovo Windows 7 laptop - I think I'll ask someone knowledgeable what to buy and stuff the hardware into "Rosie" and wheel the whole thing to the captain of My efforts against Childhood Cancer who lives sort of nearby in Linuxland and ask him to set it up - there is much to be said for New York, but my Lidl coffee is better than theirs - please have a cup with me, Captain |
