I guess the code is in opencl so it has to be written specific for each type of hardware.
----------------------------------------The NVIDIA errors I have seen were software errors due to command line or config file being invalid. After they fixed those problems the troubles went away. It should be an easy fix for the ATI cards. It would be nice if everyone could get some GPU BETAs that validate so that they have a little confidence in the hardware/software.

Yea, team 'The Survivors"!
If you've been following the latest BETA thread, Beta Test for Help Conquer Cancer - GPU v6.51 team Survivors was the first to reply with concrete data, from which it seems the problem has been confirmed. You gotta run your CPU at 100% to get reliable results. I've received at least a dozen more betas since identifying the cpu issue, and as long as i run at 100% cpu, every one worked flawlessly. Now can we go to Disneyworld? ![]() |

Very interesting!
----------------------------------------I picked up 63 HCC GPU BETAs and received 3.12 hours of CPU time. At that pace I may never get my next BETA badge. About 11 days ago I got 18 HFCC CPU BETAs and received 75.57 hours of CPU time. Now that's more like it.

[i]....At that pace I may never get my next BETA badge.
Even worse, you get no credit if the WU's fail. This seems counter productive give the objective of a beta is to find and root out failure modes. So an active beta tester who does reboots, suspends, log file posts, and other requested actions during the beta is penalized. or am i just being picky? ![]() |

When BETAs are running I do not do anything but watch it run.
----------------------------------------I try to make the test succeed by postponing Windows updates and other activities. My experience has been that if there is a problem they will fail without my help.
