Re: New Beta starting Aug 5, 2011

Managed to load up both my 32 and 64 bit Ubuntu systems. Everything appears to be working as intended.

Re: New Beta starting Aug 5, 2011

I am not sure why it is showing that. I think it is due to some of the backend applications that are paused right about now. Yes I did squeeze in loading these workunits... :)

But according to my stats it shows all 2000 results are in progress.

Thanks,

Re: New Beta starting Aug 5, 2011

I haven't seen that message on any of my systems though. Managed to snag some on four different computers, from XP to Win7 and the two Ubuntus.

Edit for random thoughts. I've deselected everything except for the intermittent projects and of those I've deselected HFCC and DDDT2. Could one of these or as mentioned previously HPF2 be triggering the message?

Re: New Beta starting Aug 5, 2011

Got 2 on an Intel dual-core under Win XP.

Mostly ignores CPU cap.

With one beta and one C4CW both run flat out ignoring CPU cap most of the time.
CPU cap does sometimes take effect after a few minutes, I thought I saw this within same sub-task i.e. does not have to wait for new sub-task.

If C4CW suspended so two betas running, obeys for a few minutes then runs flat out.

Clicking suspend on a beta shows suspended in manager but continues at full CPU for some time after with then newly "running" task taking no CPU.

Not obeying CPU cap rules this project out for the dual-core as it over-heats at full CPU on hot summer days like today.
Just cool enough now to run flat out without getting too hot.

Paul.

Re: New Beta starting Aug 5, 2011

Only 1 on the problematic Linux-box. Suspending OK. CPU last job included??
Other beta's on Windows XP32, Vista64 and W7-64.
No problems so far.
All results have 10 ZINC-targets each used for 4 tasks makes 40 jobs within 1 result.
On Win-2.8GHz so far job duration varies from 107 seconds up to 713 seconds.

True to form, less than a half hour after I posted this, I started seeing the other platforms message. Clearly all of the results had been sent out by this point and I hadn't changed any device settings. So, I'm officially clueless.

Re: New Beta starting Aug 5, 2011

Not exactly beta related, but it's my only guess.

My regular HCC units suspended when the Beta units downloaded. Soon as those started up again I get:

8/5/2011 1:27:14 PM World Community Grid Message from server: (there was work but it was committed to other platforms)
8/5/2011 1:29:07 PM World Community Grid Computation for task X0000120721392201006031702_1 finished
8/5/2011 1:29:07 PM World Community Grid Output file X0000120721392201006031702_1_0 for task X0000120721392201006031702_1 absent

The reason I'm posting it here is I never get errors. It just seemed too much to be coincidence and would be worthwhile to post in this forum.

Edit to include the debug from the website:

Not here. 2 hours runtimes and a gap of less than 1 minute on the untouched Windows-machines and 3 minutes on Linux.
