Well, I seem to have been in the right place, at the right time - as I've managed to snag 4 of them, all of which are now running.
----------------------------------------What's more, it looks like a brand new project Edit : Initial impressions look good - regular checkpointing, yet not too much strain on running 4 all at a time... Edit2 : If what I'm seeing is correct, on a Windows system (don't know about others), there looks to be two processes launched for each WU - one of 'wcg_beta13_6.11_windows_intelx86' and the other which seems to be the one doing all the work, called 'wcg_beta13_vina_6.11_windows_intelx86'. Thus, I'm assuming that this new project will be using AutoDock Vina. [Edit 2 times, last edit by gb009761 at Jul 22, 2011 11:01:35 PM] |

You are correct, it is a new project. And It is using AutoDock Vina. These work units have small jobs which make for regular checkpointing. There will be other work units with larger jobs which will cause checkpointing to be about every hour.
Right now, we are running a small test as it is right before the weekend. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Initial impressions here are good as well.
----------------------------------------Complete package download was smooth and quick. (No large files) Have 8 running at one time on an overclocked I7 Win64. Check-pointing and progressing fine. Max Memory usage is 384MB with Working Set Size ~90-100MB and VM Usage ~95MB. My VERY SLOW Pentium machine also managed to grab 4 all running at once as well. This should give you a pretty good test of true minimum crunching. It currently projects each task to complete in ~49 hours. Compare that with the I7 which looks like it should finish a couple of them in about an hour each. Will advise if I see any problems, but so far, so good.

Got 10 on quick systems, and 1 on Slow Mo.
----------------------------------------Can confer VM and working set look to be around 90 to 100MB on XPx86 (i7-920). Estimated time to completion is 7h53min, but looks more like 2h50min going by % complete. Again, no issues running multiple BETA BETA tasks on a very maxed out system. Does this new project have a name and a release to crunchers date?

In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

I was just starting work on dddt2 and was filling cache when I snagged 19. No problems so far. Two in PV.

The I7 finished and returned all the beta's. Runtime varied between 2.5 and 3.5 hours each.
----------------------------------------The old pentium is still chugging away on the 4 it has. Slow and steady progress though. New best guess based on progress is that they will finish in ~32-36 hours each in runtime/cpu time. Looks like a solid beta thus far from the ones I got.
