I have got one by chance. I cannot get more on purpose.
----------------------------------------Ubuntu 11.04 64-bit, BOINC 6.10.59 40 jobs per WU, thus checkpointing every 2.50 % As katelacy has already said, communication problems between the application and BOINC seem to be solved: all timers are incrementing nicely and the application suspends on request as it must. Remains to check that the last job's CPU time is correctly accounted. But that will take about 4 hours. A little too long for a beta (for my taste). |

Seems these will have varying degrees of crunch time. Have 8 that have been running for 1 hour on an i7. Progress percentages range from 20% to 50% completed. No 2 have the same amount completed.

In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

Greetings all,
There were only 2000 results to be sent out. 1000 workunits...They are all gone now as many may have noticed. We do not plan to release any more until next week. We will be using these results to help sizes the jobs of a work unit. As some may have noticed, jobs within a work unit may vary. Next week we will be doing a test on our estimation and work unit build scripts which will cause for a larger amount of beta workunts. Probably 4 more batches like you have seen in the past. Thanks, -Uplinger |

Uplinger, if all the WU's have gone, why are we still seeing the following messages; I'm seeing it too. Maybe it is not because of the beta but because of all the HCMD2 WUs "waiting to be sent" (I still have HCMD2 selected when I am trying to get betas) ?... 05/08/2011 20:39:46 World Community Grid Message from server: (there was work but it was committed to other platforms) |

The reason: it wasn't happening just before this latest Beta was launched, nor have I got the HCMD2 project selected... |
