Re: New Set of Beta WU's - General System Test, All Sciences

Well not only a Quad down for repair, my internet provider is having trouble keeping a stable connection. My neighbor has the same trouble, so I know it isn't some random piece of hardware on my side. Makes it kinda hard to get my BETA's turned in and new ones to replace them. LOL

Re: New Set of Beta WU's - General System Test, All Sciences

I was thinking that with only 20% released we would see more tasks overnight, but nothing in over 10h for any of my systems.
It's a shame all those systems went dry :(

Re: New Set of Beta WU's - General System Test, All Sciences

How I work to make sure nothing runs dry, and not end in a dismay over things not happening the way anticipated:

1. Load up regular work to 1 day cache.
2. Switch Profile to force Beta fetches and increase cache by the hours a single Beta task is expected to run, but not higher than 2.0 days.
3. Let it do it's thing.
4. Next visit, replay, 1-3.

smile

Things went bad here. sad When a HPF2 beta finished [and validated], many running and started tasks got a signal 11, then a HCC got to grips again, finished at 59.5 minutes [validated] and again other task running and started got signal 11, until looking in this morning. Stopped the service [Linux], tried to start it again and the core client not able to start, pointing at a no longer existing Temp directory. Waited a minute, started again which went fine, and switched profile to let it fill cache with regulars. The 22 consecutive errors will have knocked the quad out of the Reliable class for longer, but that does not matter to Beta testing, 'cept no Beta repairs either for a while [4 of the 22 were long hours repair FAAH jobs]

Crunching On

Well, all mine have now been successfully sent back - although it does look as though the DDDT2 Beta validator is currently in the "Off" position...

I have to admit, I fell into the same boat the other day. A couple of my machines went dry and lost a few hours of crunched time. Won't happen again, since I got my sapphire beta badge.

Re: New Set of Beta WU's - General System Test, All Sciences

40 IP and 20 PV - at least 8 more days worth, should we not get any more.
Should take me to over 270days; 2/3rds of the way to green...

I processed 6 DDDT2 Betas. No need to worry about silver, December 21, 2012 will probably come and go before I see that. whistling
