Re: Where are you from?

RoundFour, I could look forever at your pictures from all over the world
- except for Denmark which you seem to have managed to steer clear of tongue
May I bring your website out in the open all crunchers who have not yet KLiKed on your name to see your Forum information?

You are absolutely right about a Winter Wonderland in Lindenberg, Allgäu. May I link to this series of pictures in particular which includes a picture of the view from your bathroom?

Thank you for sharing this with us, RoundFour smile

Re: Where are you from?

chess, who would have guessed?
I take it you're fond of chess.
blushing OMG, it almost rhymes ....
At any rate I happened to notice you were in our achives and edited your file.
Curiosity is a specialty of mine, so I snuck in to see what you had done.
You had added
Copenhagen, Denmark
the very place where I sit on my stone tongue
- it's a cold job these days, I tell you.
I'm so very pleased to meet a compatriot. We are quite a few, but only few of us are active in the Forums.

Thank you, chess
- I hope your example will inspire many more crunchers from all over the World.
It's so nice to put geography to a name smile

Re: Where are you from?

It's the holidays, it's the doldrums, it's time for leisure activities.
Let me promote this pet project of mine once more, please.

nerd I - and obviously a lot of other members - like to know where the other guy comes from.
I notice people looking for information about this cruncher and that,
and since this thread was started several years ago, conditions for finding any information have not improved.
On the contrary, I'm afraid.
If you are one of those looking for information of another cruncher's country in vain,
you might want to look at which information you offer yourself to the other guy.
You could perhaps put a bit more in your Forum Profile.
A country is fine.
If your live in a country with states, provinces, or regions, it's even finer if you state this location as well.
Even finer again: if you really put your mind to it - is a city or town.
It's a small world - and it's a small effort biggrin

Re: Where are you from?

At 700 UTC I ran a random check on the 'Recently active'.
There were just five and their status is like this:
Sheridon - active for five years, no country
AnRM is from Canada biggrin
Cedrikson - active for one year, no country
Zeonfx - active for seven years, no country
BUT Zeonfx just requested a SNURK sign , and that is often a circumvent, secondary way to learn a cruncher's nationality
- and I'm about to believe that this campaign already paid off! Zeonfx's Forum Profile now says Hungary rose
What a fast turnaround biggrin
Did you plan to do it anyway, so we just had this perfect timing? tongue Or were you inspired? idea
BKraayev - active for 12! years, no nationality in the Forum Profile, but the SNURK sign displays a Maple Leaf.
See! That's what I mean by the positive side effect of a SNURK sign cool

I would have guessed The Netherlands! The sound of Kraayeveld was somewhat harsher and rougher than that of Bintangs and the first three singles were produced by Boudewijn de Groot.

Re: Where are you from?

My guess was a descendent from a former Soviet republic - in the Caspian Sea/Aral Lake region, possibly Chechnya.
Now, a funny thing happened this morning here in newly promoted Captain TKizzle's new Easynews team thread.
I made conversation with thunder7 thinking he was American - Americans love woodworking of all kinds - and along the way I asked him where this golf course on which his elm had grown was.
Ta-da! This morning thunder7 filled in his Forum Profile with:
Netherlands biggrin

Quelle surprise! Actually, we could have guessed it, since thunder7 linked to this picture (het mooiste hout = the most beautiful wood).
