Re: Where are you from?

Oh, I most definitely liked it. I probably wouldn't have visited only the first time if not laughing

I like the coast, especially the North Sea coast. But then, I love the water anyway. And besides Copenhagen I've been to Århus a few times. And no, no family or friends in either city. I just like going there.

Well, unfortunately my Danish is not in a state where "brushing up" would be nearly sufficient. I can read a newspaper and mostly understand what's being talked about. But I'd probably go hungry if I had to order in a restaurant speaking Danish only. blushing

Re: Where are you from?

No, of course you wouldn't return, if you didn't like it. cool

Oh, my German is not much better than you describe your Danish.
To be able to read a newspaper is quite an accomplishment, I think.
Have you studied in England or something? Your English is very good.

Whereabout in Schleswig-Holstein do you live?
There are so many interesting places I have only brushed:
Schleswig and the Cathedral, Gottorp Castle, Dannevirke, The Wadden Sea
and the Emil Nolde museum, not to mention The Frisian Islands and Sylt.
Lübeck I did fairly thoroughly several generations ago and
Rostock (which probably is Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), too.
I like very much that you have so well maintained
houses, gardens, villages, cities and everything.
All too often we are a mess ... so it's relaxing to look at your way of doing it.

Re: Where are you from?

Good Morning, Good Afternoon, Good Evening, Good Night Fellow Crunchers!
- depending on where you live and we crunch in all time zones
provided there is land where you can plug in a computer
- well maybe we even crunch on ships on the ocean ...
- see, that would be a nice dream for a mermaid

Sailing

Yesterday, I met marvey11 here who is my neighbour, living south of my border.
I knew marvey11 is from Germany, because he stated that already.
Thank you, marvey11

That he was as close as from the northern Bundesland of Schleswig-Holstein
bordering with Denmark was news and it was nice getting to know him a little better.
He runs his own team - only member on board is marvey11 - and the name of the team
"To the Moon and Back"
mirrors his sense of humour revealed at our small conversation.

Being very fond of geography and the wonders of our world,
I should appreciate knowing the whereabouts of many more of my fellow crunchers. It's easy:
Click "My Forum Profile" :
- grayest bar ^^^^ up there
- second item from the right
- and fill in "Country".
If you feel like it, a state or a city is welcome, too.

Re: Where are you from?

smile Thank you so much for responding, Carlos
- VIVA!
- geograpy lives!

I can read in your side bar that your are from Brazil/Brasil
- and clicking you name, I can also read "Gramado/RS"
Rio Grande do Sul - a province 6½ times larger than my country
but with just twice as many people.
blushing I really ought to learn some more about Brasil
- I once had a pen friend who was a daughter of a coffee plantation owner in Minas Gerais
- and that is far, far away from your Gramado.
Thank you, very, very much for giving geography CPR, Carlos rose

Now!
If only we could get those who doesn't tell us where they come from
to fill out that bit of info .... applause

Re: Where are you from?

- a great state for, crunching tank1023
Would you happen to be in Colorado Springs?
Because, off the cuff I can mention at least four crunchers from that particular city.

It is a great state for everything else, too, tho.
I toured it many years ago. It's difficult to pick one place as a favourite,
but if I had to, it think it would be The Black Canyon of the Gunnison.

smile Thank you for adding the dimension of geography to crunching
- and your occupation, too
- food for thought and imagination

Re: Where are you from?

Yes, I am in Colorado Springs.
The weather here is great for crunching, never get too hot like the southern states.
