By the looks that's a screenshot of the old My Projects page... there's no graphics option in the supplemental options.

That way there is no need for the extra graphics option.

There is actually a new option now under My Projects.
It says: "If my computer can process work on my graphics card, then please send me work to run on my graphics card for the projects that I have selected above." Just tick that ;) |

There is actually a new option now under My Projects. It says: "If my computer can process work on my graphics card, then please send me work to run on my graphics card for the projects that I have selected above." Just tick that ;) It does work but not the way it makes one think...it means send me gpu work FOR ANY PROJECT, not just the projects selected above! Right now there is only one gpu and it is in Beta testing so it isn't a big deal. They are working on cleaning it up but it is not a priority as the Beta will gone on for awhile.   |

Think your reading is wrong.
If my computer can process work on my graphics card, then please send me work to run on my graphics card for the projects that I have selected above. emphasis mine. The GPU text is rather unambiguous I'd think. There is *no* correlation but that any selected science [for CPU] that has GPU work, will be send GPU work *too* for that selected science, so if you only want GPU work to arrive for HCC, select HCC only. For Beta there is no science coupled selection. You select GPU and if enrolled in Beta, then available GPU tasks will be send, for active projects that need bug fixing and new projects. Anyone who's been able to test the production GPU functionality of e.g. selecting FAAH + [Production] GPU and then getting HCC GPU tasks has still to arrive. We've never had GPU tasks in production to confirm, only Beta. As always, subject to change without prior notice [which knreed is contemplating on] --//-- |
