My last repair WU crashed from more than 90 % back to 5 %. :-(

Thanks Astrolab. More Beta's would be nice but starting my badge for CEP-2 would also be nice but have a bit of work to do on CC4W for my Saphire first.

Are there any plans for another round of BETA for CEP-2 in the pipeline for the next week? I am only 10 days away from the 'exclusive' Ruby Club.

evilkats, I would be happy to greet a new member to the club, the if they run the next beta, it will be quite hard for most of us to make much progress in our badge upgrade. 1 beta per system, so unless you have about 10-20 systems, it will be hard to get even 10 days.

I am fortunate to have access to 14 hosts at this time. These CEP2 BETA WUs run for at least 4 hours on any Windows Host, at least so in the past. Unless I completely miss the rollout of BETA, I think I have an excellent chance of reaching the next Ruby level.

evilkats when was the last time you had a beta task? I'm yet to receive 1

Speedy51, obviously, I'll have to let evilkats answer for himself - although the odds are stacked heavily in his favour if he's got access to so many systems, as opposed to someone like myself who's only got the 1.
----------------------------------------I must say though, the change made several months ago - where BETA WU's were limited to 1 per core (this is being tweaked for the CEP2 testing - last round was 1 per 2 cores, and by the sounds of it, the next round will be 1 per system), leveled the playing field somewhat, as in the past, people were allowed to 'stockpile' BETA WU's. |

Thanks gb009761 you & me are in same boat having 1 system. I wish we could see how many tasks each project has ready to send.

My last successful BETA task validated on 09/28. It was probably a repair WU, because the main flood was long over by that time. There was talk back then that a new BETA is planned and it was going to be even more restrictive than the last one with CPU/2 tasks per system. Now, 3 weeks later I am growing impatient...

evilkats, did you see one of the latest comments made by armstrdj (one of the WCG techs) made on the 7th of October? Re: Tasks are not checkpointing properly
