Actually it will go to my local school district where some 8-yo will have to do his/her homework on it. Very cool.
In 1969 I took an oath to defend and protect the U S Constitution against all enemies, both foreign and Domestic. There was no expiration date.

I think that results are slightly better or at the very least as good as they were in the previous run.
These WU require a lot of system resources to run successfully. I also think it was a great idea to limit the number of available WU for each host to only half the number of available cores. Such approach greatly reduced the size of the swap file and I/O in general. I noticed other members expressing similar thoughts on this matter. ![]() |

i am guessing the previous run had lots of issues with hyper-threading cpu's and that is the reason for the 1/2-ing processors... hopefully everything will be a go

I just noticed I got some beta packages too YAY.
Would be nice to receive a mail if you receive a BETA, then you can keep an eye out on any funnies that might happen with them. |

i would have to say no on you have received a beta mail. I only have 3 computers but i am sure there are some people out there with 20+ maybe some 100+. just imagine receiving 100 e-mails saying you have a beta and then 12 hours later receiving 100 more e-mails.

For WCG ONLY crunchers, who wish to rush their BETA / Repair tasks through, set the Switch between applications every xxxx minutes to 7201 (5 days + 1 minute). That will push them to the front after suspending whatever job is running. They will then execute in High Priority. The suspended jobs will unload from memory if LAIM (Leave application in memory when preempted) is switched off, so a regular CEP2 job and participating in Beta with this trick could turn into a painful experience. Be Warned! Use at own risk!
