Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Yep, I sure did have that option selected. I assumed that with no projects selected except DDDT2, that it's priority would be the highest.

Your thinking was correct, except when there is no work in the feeder, then it will fall back to the "Send other work", DDDT tends to come in smaller batches, if there is no work, your system will reapply after a time out period, often during which more get loaded. with the "Other work" set your cache is now full and will not request work until needed

It is not unusual when dddt only to get 2-3 request with "No work avail" messages then get a bunch.

Fred... thanks for the response. Hopefully DDDT2 will eventually turn into a "normal" project and will flow like the rest of them. I have no need to jump through hoops to get DDT2 WUs... I have plenty of milestones to try to reach with the other WCG projects. I'll keep DDDT2 selected (like I always have) and if I get any DDDT2 WUs, great. If not, no problem.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Multiply the uneven number given of 1593 times 2 for the total WU's circulated. Last night, when having finished the 25, within 14 hours from receipt, 13 of them passed into the next day having PV jail state. Presently, 8 are waiting on a wingman. The crunch was rather uneventful and much quicker. The projected times were 3 times actual. Certainly stopped overcaching ;>)

Testing would be if seippel posts on Friday, around 21:00 UTC that the wave will be coming to the hopper within the next 8 hours... whilst the servers are on a scheduled outage. How many will go nuts on Saturday morning waiting for 08:00 UTC, no not waiting and do that which they are asked not not do ;?

Precious is coming, gollum gollum.

The results from the test batch looked very good (and came back very quickly). I've submitted the remaining batches to BOINC and they should be sent out in within the next eight hours. In total there are 148509 work units (two copies of each will be sent). Enjoy the downpour!

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Oh la la, la la, nearly 300,000 tasks to go around. At last rains pace that will be ~14 days to pry out of the feeders. Last C-Type rain peaked at 24K unit validated on a day. At 16MB a pop, get that bandwidth on standby. :D

Profile ready and set.
