Update project numerous times until cache is full.

IMHO this is a very bad idea. Hammers the servers. Just select DDDT2 only, raise your cache setting and let nature takes its' course. You should get plenty of WUs if they are available.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Thanks for pointing that out [was hoping someone did]. I was obvious in my previous post to state that I had not hit the update button as did jersey [for short], having the client take it's scheduling cause whilst shuteye. With 8 hours lead time [6.5 it was actually, number one arriving at 7:36AM per logs], the client will backfill sequentially once the first arrives.

One day auto-lockouts will enter the scene or clients get it hardcoded to disable the button functionality progressively. WCG has an 11 second deny counter [too soon retried], other grids have bigger ones. Let's not force the hand to follow suite... let the client do the job.

Yep, and the more cores/threads you have asking for these, the higher your chances of getting them.

On average, I dedicate about half (8 cores) of my current 8 crunching devices to DDDT2 when rain is announced. Usually never get any TypeA or TypeB, only TypeC when there's a big downpour. No worries, I'm busy with other tasty WUs. coffee wink

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I guess it's my Karma not to get any DDDT2 WUs sad . I only had DDDT2 selected, I changed the queue to 3 days and this is what I got:

5 WUs for C4CW
2 WUs for FAAH
1 WU for CEP2
2 WUs for HCMD
2 WUs for HPF2

oh well... all the projects are important, so no harm done. When DDDT2 starts sending out WUs in a normal way, I'll catch them then.

Did you leave "If there is no work available for my computer for the projects I have selected above, please send me work from another project." ticked?

If so, then you would probably get the WUs from other projects.

ps Already returning DDDT2 WUs.

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Yep, I sure did have that option selected. I assumed that with no projects selected except DDDT2, that it's priority would be the highest.

It does look there 1st (DDDT2)..If nothing then moves to another project.

The only problem is..Sometimes it takes a few tries to start getting DDDT2 WU's.
