Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

I've made one batch (1593 work units) available to BOINC from the latest set of batches. They should begin to be sent out within the next eight hours. Once enough results from these work units are returned the rest of the batches will be released (provided the results from this batch look good)

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

Changed profile that has 1 day higher cache setting, went to bed, sun bursting throu the curtains, checked just now and found 25 for a TTC of 7 days in queue on me new 8 threaded toy [and it's not a dual xeon].

(now putting them ahead in queue so seippel has the earliest possible confirmation to release the rest of his stash.)

Crunch on

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

SekeRob how is that possible. I have a standard three day cache, and 21 hungry machines and get only three?
This means that if I increase the cache size while it is raining say to 10 days I would capture more of them?
But how do you change the cache size of 21 rigs in a few minutes, that is impossible, right?

Re: New thread for It's raining Dengue, Hallelujah!...

The key ingredients are:

- No local prefs, strictly web profile control
- Set profile to DDDT2 + 1 day extra cache (see no reason to gorge)
- BOINCTasks for group profile transfer update (not needed with 8 hour lead time)
- LogMeIn into 1 machine at the farm (for if you're away)

Set profile to DDDT2 only
Increase cache slightly (I increased mine to below 3 days then put it back to less than 1 day).
Update project numerous times until cache is full. (I only needed to press it a couple of times in that hour that I was requesting WUs)
Set profile and cache back to normal.

That way I got 22 WUs on 1 PC.
