Oh, yes PC compenent that won't play nicely together - state of the art technology at its peak!
----------------------------------------I am having issues with an updated UEFI build giving me instability at settings that worked before. There seems to be a new version out there again, but I haven't had the time to try it out yet. Might be going on a small trip tomorrow to the capital...don't know yet. That, or work - tough choice! ![]() Join The International Team: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=CK9RP1BKX1 AMD TR2990WX @ PBO, 64GB Quad 3200MHz 14-17-17-17-1T, RX6900XT @ Stock AMD 3800X @ PBO AMD 2700X @ 4GHz |

Sigh,
----------------------------------------so it got to 33 (around 90 F) yesterday... For the most northern major city in Canada, that's a hot one. We actually had rolling outages because several power plants went off line for various reasons. (The Perfect Power Storm). Anyway took my most power inefficient cruncher offline, going to try and swap the HD with the new machine that won't work and try and get something going.... ![]() |

Work is for winter True :) but unfortunately there was no trip to the capital... :( Been coding for 5.5 hours today in preparation for some work. My head, and especially my eyes feel warm and heavy. They always do even after only a few hours of work. I am using an anti-hangover ice/water bag though as a remedy and it feels like heaven when hot meets cold :) ![]() Join The International Team: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=CK9RP1BKX1 AMD TR2990WX @ PBO, 64GB Quad 3200MHz 14-17-17-17-1T, RX6900XT @ Stock AMD 3800X @ PBO AMD 2700X @ 4GHz |

Yes, lol it is true :)
----------------------------------------It is (paid) work, but what I meant was that it is some preparation work for the work that will begin in august. I am helping out a little at the university since I really enjoy the academic environment and education, and there I get to meet more people, something I very very rarely do. So I see it as an investment in myself and also I get the chance to be of more use to others. Also I am looking at this as a way of improving my skills and broadening them as well as socializing a bit with some people of my age. No matter how hard it is for me to socialize with other people, I know about my deficiencies and try to improve on such skills. Yes, it is still work of course (half-time atm) but I believe that if I can just find a good balance I should be able to pull through. So, not so much vacation I as was hoping for (probably no long trip around Europe), but at least I will hopefully be able to also pay for any new repair to my old car (touch wood), change car or simply pay off more aggressively on my mortgage and/or studying loan from campus times. Lots of things going on in my mind right now, but I try to remain sane :) Just updated UEFI/BIOS to new version, hoping it is more stable. Will find out soon. Updated BOIC to latest version also. Crunching on... ![]() Join The International Team: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=CK9RP1BKX1 AMD TR2990WX @ PBO, 64GB Quad 3200MHz 14-17-17-17-1T, RX6900XT @ Stock AMD 3800X @ PBO AMD 2700X @ 4GHz |
