Wow, Night Owl!
----------------------------------------I went home sick yesterday, and slept 12 hours. I'm a NEW MAN. I also see we are in a HFCC challenge, I thought that project was supposed to be done months ago, but I'll jump back in see what we can do. Apparently about 2 months left. If I get my other computer up, and do nothing but HFCC, I would be just short of 10 years... It will be fun to try!!! CYA ![]() |

----------------------------------------Really, HFCC challenge? I will have to dedicate my machine too... ![]() Join The International Team: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=CK9RP1BKX1 AMD TR2990WX @ PBO, 64GB Quad 3200MHz 14-17-17-17-1T, RX6900XT @ Stock AMD 3800X @ PBO AMD 2700X @ 4GHz |

yeah it's got a goofy scoring system though...
----------------------------------------whatever, in honor of our new challenge, I bought a I7 3770K and motherboard, and 2 sticks of 8 gig RAM each! If I ever need more RAM I can get 2 more. I'm going to get the old alienware (I7 920) and replace with the new 3770k. Just stock air for now though. Don't feel like working too hard at home, working too much at work lately. ![]() |

Sounds great Jack with that new Ivy Bridge machine!
----------------------------------------I concur with the fact that the scoring system is somewhat odd for the HFCC project :) Alright, friday at last. Will be great to get get some time off from work to relax (hopefully I will be able to). ![]() Join The International Team: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/viewTeamInfo.do?teamId=CK9RP1BKX1 AMD TR2990WX @ PBO, 64GB Quad 3200MHz 14-17-17-17-1T, RX6900XT @ Stock AMD 3800X @ PBO AMD 2700X @ 4GHz |

I'm relaxing!
----------------------------------------Max Relax to put off the heart attax ![]() Also today decided to put the alienware back together, without upgrades, bought a new case, keyboard, cable and odds and ends to make a brand new machine. still need a new power supply and a sata DVD burner. My 4 machines should make 50K, 45K, 32K? and 28K a day. 150K a day anyway, with LESS electric usage than just my old I7920 and 930 put together! Going to take the gtx 560 out of my one computer that doesn't need a video card. that thing siphons power somehow when it's not even running anything interesting. Also this I7 2500K I'm pulling the card out of it too. I'm all about responsible crunching :) Hey a company that I buy power from, whose goal is to buy renewable power has said that they will pay 15 cents a KW for all power generated by solar or wind, ABOVE what you use for the month. (My rate is 6.5 cents locked in). So they are encouraging people to CONSERVE in order to get the most out of excess production. Should be about 20K for a 5 kilowatt system. Maybe when our old house sells. ![]() |
