For the occasion wielding power, which corrupts absolute, created a challenge for teams to join. Regrettably could not do it from today. Worked through a long list of direct team invites and of course open to any late entrants [apologies to any team that was missed, there being so many hot ones]:
----------------------------------------http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/team/challe...lenge.do?challengeId=4660 Let's see if we can get some more swing votes to come this research's way... 25% increase for the month... that's lifting daily contribution from ~19 to 24 years per day. Not huge on the 400+ years we do as a whole. --//-- *Edited / TKH / link was broken [Edit 1 times, last edit by TKH at Feb 2, 2012 2:07:40 PM] |

i've read anywhere here, that there are 10 mio. work units to crunch... this we will reach in about 30 days... does anybody know if there is more work to do and how much?
@sekerob, i am blind and i can't read your nice grafical outlook. is it maybe possible to put some other information online? maybe some statistics as a table? the work progress and the days left in numbers would already be very usefull. i hope you read this, i don't know where elsewhere to ask this... |

Hi finsterlebnis Guess your webhandle reflects the 'finster' and 'erlebnis' in a contraction. No doubt that's your experience :D No that 10 million is not the end as that is a, lets call it 'experiment' within CEP2. It's a progressive learning program like FAAH and other grid sciences, so from there more promising directions will be explored, for years to come. Just added 2 years to the 'days left to crunch' to give an indication. The link fredski posted to the Dashboard chart is most probably not translatable to your display reading software, but then do not know the advancements since some simple scanning software I have can convert printed pages to editable text. Assuming you already tried, I can make a condensed version in cleartext, just have to ponder on how to post this to the forums on a regular basis [hints welcome]. Absent that, the project statistics pages do at least give the cumulative numbers at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/stat/viewProjects.do TTYL --//-- |

ok i tried to send the link of fredski through my ocr-software but i only got some letters and numbers ...
i have no idea how to transfer your data in a readable file for me but actually i am only interested in the days left of all the projects. thats the only value which is not shown in the official statistics and i think for most of us it is the most interesting one. |

Am I the only one whose CEP2 WUs upload have suddenly dropped in size by half? No errors, invalids, or inconclusive. Have had quite a.few (20+) that r finishing quick and uploading 15 mb compared to 33-36 mb recently. Just curious.
----------------------------------------This is also since a new Linux update, however this is also happening on a rig running Windows, which is not OCd. Any input would be appreciated. Kind of concerned. ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 4, 2012 7:01:21 PM] |

Am I the only one whose CEP2 WUs upload have suddenly dropped in size by half? I saw the same thing - that is, computational time required per task decreasing by half. And if you look at the chart on the first page of this thread...the blue "tasks" plot...looks like a lot of crunchers did.![]() |

With several researches on the slow or finishing, and WCG overall running well above the 650 TFL, there must be extra juice coming the CEP2 way, and indeed, aiming for a new CPU years record today of 21.5 years http://bit.ly/WCGCE1
[Of course outside agencies are on the prowl, so hush and Crunching On --//-- P.S. Milestone of 8,000 Runtime years has been passed too :D |
