Re: The Clean energy Project - Phase 2 Crunching Chart

biggrin The Decepticons struck: This research been running about 67 days which is 18% of 1 year as my big thumb has entered. There's no work size info, so an estimated duration is used and the longer windows launch delays, the longer the phase will run, for the Linux crunchers biggrin

Re: The Clean energy Project - Phase 2 Crunching Chart

I believe this project was originally intended to last about a year, but that was with windows machines crunching also. I know you removed the % complete from the chart as it was calculated with the assumption the windows users would be contributing almost from the start.

Is there any feel for how much the end date slipped? I'm hoping to get a year of crunching validated tonight, and might push on towards the elusive sapphire. There are other projects I'd like to top up however, and if there's a lot of time left in this project even after the windows boxes start contributing then I might add some other projects back in to the mix.

Re: The Clean energy Project - Phase 2 Crunching Chart

As of 07.10.10 1.74% has been completed. Evan when the windows app arrives there's going to be plenty of work around.

Speedy51,

care to tell use where you found that 1.74% information? The cleanenergy site http://cleanenergy.harvard.edu/go/ currently gives nothing but time out errors, so cant look it up.

Sure I got the 1.74% from the graph you made in the 1st post in this thread
Or is it read as 17.4%? If it s read as 17.4% I apologize.

So it is. Are you going to a number under progress at some point?

Re: The Clean energy Project - Phase 2 Crunching Chart

Just updated the chart through the 15th... % progress is no longer visible even if you change the angle of view. What you saw was "23.69% Cldr" short for Calendar, as in the % is duration based, not volume since we don't have that information and likely wont ever have as the scientists are dynamically parameterizing and sizing and shaping the work based on the "as-we-go" results output (see posts by "cleanenergy" for elaboration).
