Re: Linux Only Beta Test (CEP2)

Think you missed the last few posts during the skimming ;P

It took me about an hour to gather that information from the different sources into that message. Those messages were not there when I started composing it, and they did not become visible during Previews.

edit: 6.10.36 shows wallclock/elapsed time. The task properties shows

The log (posted) shows what time it started and what time it finished.
It was already gone before I could note what CPU time BOINC said it took... there is no place that info's stored locally that I'm aware of.

elapsed time and CPU time. At for instance 60% throttle or when the system isvery busy, that differential can get very big. Presently see an 1:20 hour difference on my quad for a task, whilst watching streaming WSC. football matches.

That machine was doing nothing else but running BOINC during that time frame (I was asleep, and there were no other applications running... I've even uninstalled the PackageKit yum frontend and just run the Yumex front end when I want to check for updates). It should not be 'throttled' at all, as I've also disabled (zeroed) the 'allowed while' percentage, and the # of processors and amount of CPU are both set to 100%.

I watched one match (on TV) and got so annoyed at the vuvuzelas I have not turned it back on. Doubt I'll even watch the US-Algeria match after the ref stole the game from them against Slovenia.

Re: Linux Only Beta Test (CEP2)

As much as I like NFL, in the rest of the world we call 'WSC' ... FIFA World Cup ...as in 'football'.
No disrespect to aussie rulles, the toughest type of 'football' around.

Re: Linux Only Beta Test version 6.16

Result Name: BETA_ A.35.C33H20S2.2.4.set1d06_ 0--

It looks like this one validated when it found a couple of machines that hit the 12 Hour mark.

I hope someone is looking at these since they will validate and potentially mask the problem.

Re: Linux Only Beta Test version 6.16

One of my WUs (BETA_A.22.C17H10N2S3.8.3.set1d06) was stopped within job #15 after 12 hours by the time limit. The wingman was stopped after 12 minutes within job #2 with the mssage
Application exited with RC = 0x100
[10:07:39] Finished Job #2
[ ... ]
Both jobs became valid.

I've had 3 WUs return a similar error in job 4.
i.e.
Application exited with RC = 0x4
[20:37:49] Finished Job #4
[20:37:49] Starting job 5,CPU time has been restored to 24134.240294.
[20:37:49] Skipping Job #5
[ ... repeat skipping until end ... ]

In all cases, the "RC = 0x4" jobs have been marked as Invalid.
e.g.

Re: Linux Only Beta Test version 6.16

I have had several repair WUs with error
Maximum disk usage exceeded'

Sample 1586.67 MB > 1500 MB.

I updated the client to:
limit memory usage when active 4232 MB
Idle 5441 MB
Disk usage 10 GB

But it happend again. sad

PS: So, I'm just uploading my last (completed! smile ) repair WU.
One of my wingmens has had also the 'exceeded' problem.

That'll have no effect. The limit is in client_state.xml (the <rsc_disk_bound> setting in the <workunit> block for the task).
