I believe for errors you get points credit but no time credit WCG updated the policy quite recently which boils down to full crediting for time/points[credits], results count on known errors, then full time and result count and half points is given for invalid tasks. This is for Beta and production tasks. For the most part this is fully automated i.e. new error conditions that are unresolvable and considered to be science app caused are added to the table. If e.g. OCing leads to constant errors, then maybe credit is given, but the quota will quickly drop to 1 per day per device... a motivational to resolve the issue and to prevent these devices to start eating through the stock and cause many priority repair units, which disturbs the production flow considerably. See our Start Here FAQ's for elaborations.

No, just sending out some clean up from the original beta. Should be only like 5 of them or close to that.

Sorry for the short small update. But the latest BETA test is again linux only. We are testing an updated science binary, new graphics code, and decreased output from the user. This test has about 3333 work units to be sent out.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

Uplinger, when do you envisage this test being rolled out to other platforms - notably, windows?

Got 4 on the quad. Same recipe as before... huge 1 time download of 100MB for the application, 5 day deadline. The 3333 if times 3 makes it nice 10k multi-day work available test... kind of more folk who will have that teasing urge to bite the bullet and convert to Linux, just to crunch.

The updated graphics code is invisible here after 41 minutes CPU time... all 4 have checkpointed. Was this by design?
