Morning Gerald
----------------------------------------We have been paying indirectly Climate Change Levy on all our goods and services (and at least 15% directly of our Gas and Electricity Bill - just think of it as a lot less WCG activity) for at least 3 years to my knowledge. The cost being paid by all businesses on Gas and Electricity usage Then there's the disaster that is RTFO and the perfect ongoing excuse for crippling Fuel Duty increases That's even before ETS and the whole Carbon Debit Scheme gets added in. (In addition the previously, sensibly, mothballed industry of Nuclear Power has been handed it's reason d'etre - falsely.) This has brought us to our knees and has stopped as described right at the top of this thread much needed improvements in Public Infrastructure. Copenhagen had the potential to do the same to us all. With no statistically significant warming for the last 15 years I just wonder when I will get my refund? As I say thank heavens for a sense of humour The person who named Climate Change Levy Climate Change Levy must be quaking in their boots today Gordon won't be happy Keep fighting for the truth Gerald Thank you from your buddy Dave ![]() |

From kidsgeo: Heat Reflection:
----------------------------------------http://www.kidsgeo.com/geography-for-kids/0067-heat-reflection.php with 5.34 million km square of missing snow, an albedo changing impact, we have allot more of Heat Absorbtion: http://www.kidsgeo.com/geography-for-kids/0066-heat-absorption.php We all [well almost all] know that our wide ranging change of land use, deforestation and agriculturalization has actually caused in compensation an albedo increasing effect! Let's cut down all the trees... the CO2 in the air is irrelevant [so the ain't true-ists say, having had the lack of education in physics]. By the time real trouble arrives we can make oxygen with fossil fuel powered plants... for the phytoplankton is likely also going on strike in our acidified, polluted oceans. NOT?

"If we move towards an attitude of care in how we use the resources, which are bountiful, of this little Planet of ours then there's nothing more we can do.
----------------------------------------We should try to use renewables such as Solar, Wind, Wave, River, Hydroelectric, Geothermal, we have even encountered osmotic pressure as a power source being trialled in Norway where a a river meets the more salty sea along our travels through this subject. We should do this wherever it is viable, practical and possible to do instead of burning fossil fuels - that's just common sense." David Autumns Feb 16th 2010 ![]() |

One of the top 10 talking points of Ain't True is: The Antarctic Sea Ice is growing opposed to the Arctic shrinking... follow the blue line on top of the 1979-2000 mean... woosh

right where it has always been throughout the record
----------------------------------------It could not have followed a more perfectly normal curve than in 2009/10 through it's Summer melt. So close to absolutely normal it's astounding ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Feb 17, 2010 10:21:42 AM] |

Here's another view of how perfectly normal the Antarctic Sea Ice cover is
----------------------------------------http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/IMAGES/seaice.recent.antarctic.png It's uncanny It makes you wonder sometimes how they get away with all that "We are all doomed" nonsense ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Feb 17, 2010 10:35:22 AM] |

Now what's wrong with this picture [it's big, from atmos]?
----------------------------------------http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/IMAGES/seaice.recent.arctic.png In the previous years there's almost always been days where the anomaly of Arctic Sea Ice extent would hit zero [the red line]... but in this winter of all that snow coming south [due the massive amounts of vapor from the warm ocean], the heath moved way further north... a swap so to speak. It's due El Nino and AO -3.41 and WEATHER systems unlike seen in previous decades. That what has been determined by those that know what they're talking about, they really do, so is my personal assertion, with authority, supported by 10's of thousands of scientists, not 500 of whom most don't even have a degree in the relevant sciences... such as the good Lord: ![]() Think off screen he wears Jo Yanta Specials, 2010 issue, with enhanced software... like what American cars have for their rear view mirror, auto-blind-flip. [he drives hands free too, pointing where it's all coming from... according to him]
