Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

From http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/cet_info_mean.html

The highest annual mean CET ever recorded was 10.82 which is 1.35 higher than normal. To beat this record the anomaly must be higher than 116.00 for the remainder of the year.

So the average temperature for the next couple of days needs to be 120.8C and we'll beat the highest annual Central England temp

A piece of cake with the alarming warming wink

Making Tea should be easy though you might have to blow on it a bit.

http://newday.blogs.cnn.com/2013/12/30/icebreaker-fails-to-reach-stuck-ship/

Anyone dare to mention that there's currently 1.5 million sq kms of extra Sea Ice at the South Pole than the 1979-2008 mean?

Or are we all just going to go along with the "It's Disappearing" meme and not ask questions?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The December 2013 result is in and the average temperature from 2438 NOAA Weather Stations around the Globe was 2.87C

The average temperature Jan 2013 through to the end of December 2013 was 12.259C

Here's another forum friendly sized graph that updates hourly

The graph above is (at this moment in time) the result of 66,258,543 individual temperature measurements taken around the Globe from NOAA Weather Stations since the beginning of 2011 cool

So average temp

2011 = 12.584C
2012 = 13.047C
2013 = 12.259C

This very public experiment continues into year 4

Happy New Year

Dave
