Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Gerald we weren't born yesterday were we biggrin

All that extra snow, the extra sea ice and the decreasing average annual temperature .... is .... because the Ocean's have "hidden" it

rolling eyes

and not at all because the Sun is in a funk

http://solarscience.msfc.nasa.gov/predict.shtml

"The current prediction for Sunspot Cycle 24 gives a smoothed sunspot number maximum of about 65 in the Summer of 2013. The smoothed sunspot number has already reached 67 (in February 2012) due to the strong peak in late 2011 so the official maximum will be at least this high. The smoothed sunspot number has been flat over the last four months. We are currently over four years into Cycle 24. The current predicted and observed size makes this the smallest sunspot cycle since Cycle 14 which had a maximum of 64.2 in February of 1906."

What do they think controls our climate ?

biggrin

Have we to give them a clue.... it's not us.

All the best Gerald from this side of the Pond

Dave

The horror

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/cet_info_mean.html

Year to date (10th December 2013)

1/100th of a degree C below normal (1961-90 average)

What we need now is a politician with a dream to save us from this fiery nightmare we are having to endure

or maybe not

Currently 657,000 sq kms more Sea Ice than the 1979-2008 average

But don't let that little truth get in the way of Greenpeace and their foul propaganda.

The Butler from Downton Abbey should be ashamed

Seriously it is quantifiable that 60% of the damage caused by Yolanda was due CO2 emissions from people driving and keeping warm and being able to enjoy some of the benefits the 21st Century affords

60%

What and this never happened before electricity or transport became widely available ?

Which level of responsibility did the oil industry have in that one ?

This is now beyond farce

The Satellite they launched to document the disappearing polar ice cap

shows it increasing

Not only does it cover a greater sea surface area ... it's also thicker

Great idea

Why not sooner?

Much like the now ubiquitous micro USB charging socket on Phones and Tablets

Progress

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The biggest problem for warmists is that this substantial increase in arctic ice was not predicted by their models, and they won't know why it happened for the next ten years.

Making that much more ice requires a huge shift in energy - and they had no idea it was going to happen, or where that energy shifted from or to.

If the science is settled, then no more research is necessary, and you warmists need no more government funding. Now shoo! Go away!
