Mr. Scaliger is not an authority in climate science, **. ** make the same mistake: **science is not always intuitive. ** the experts, who overwhelmingly state that strong winter weather can and will occur during global warming.

the atmosphere is now 0.0388% CO2 and increasing at the rate of 0.0001% per year or maybe 0.0002% on an El Nino year when the Oceans warm and outgas that bit more CO2 than usual.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

esoteric17, that out-gassing part is bound to incite the comment or misunderstanding, again, of "see, it's coming from the oceans!"... isotopic signatures 12, 13 and 14 tell us very accurately what the net source is of the increase... fossil fuel burning. The net intake of the oceans due temperature increase is in fact diminishing. The rates used to be considerably higher, to the point that we had an equilibrium of ~280 ppmv undulating with the glaciation periods. The bill has been printed... it only needs being enveloped and posted... which then will not be mail fraud.

Reminds me, today or yesterday the January numbers were will have been published by the ESRL... let's have a quick look:

oops:

2010 1 2010.042 388.63 388.63 388.33 29

Make it 0.0389%, just 0.0001% [of atmosphere] in one month and trend from 388.09 last month to 388.33 makes it 2.88 ppmv annualized... it's too simple, but we're speaking not of 0.0001% of the atmosphere but 0.74% annual increase on prior years compound, smack on where that red line end-point is going.

The Solar Dynamics Observatory is up up and away peace

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/sdo/main/index.html

Just a 1 1/2 hour coast, a short burn and separation

and if everything goes according to plan a few more variables we will be able to add to the chaos that is our climate

That was the slowest launch I have ever witnessed, it just appeared to hang there at the top of the tower.

Stunning
