Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The truth is out there, here the little red dot after the data capture gap at JAXA turning in a short line, bending down... the ambient is not conducive to very good sea ice recovery it seems... more like: Why is Sea Ice in the heart of a supposed cooling globe 1 million km square short? Hopes are on a continued negative AO for that influences the wind directions, speak reduces the outflow of sea ice into the adjacent oceans. We'll know more in a month or 3-6, in hindsight.

Meantime, the ice is rotten, and the cat agrees

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Just for fun I fished up David Autumns 4 bar chart which was presented to demonstrate the rather fast effect of solar impact in cooling when going into minimum [from the copy I made of that 7336 post long missing thread]. I've plugged in 9 months of HADCRUT3v, and we're almost back to the 2005 HADCRU record... and at that point still deeply in that solar minimum. David Autumns never explained this phenomena. Could he now please?

Yes, I think we know enough: It's Homo Sapiens Sapiens as main culprit. Dr. Roy (Spencer) also knows, though he's got trouble expressing it in clear words that the less ignorant can comprehend. Did the sun dial up Earth to say that we needed to pre-warm the planet, so we can have a RECORD in 2010... just like that?

Snow was normal, Arctic Sea Ice is substantially below, trailing along the 2007 record low line... oh and the Finish are begging the nine nations on the Baltic to help clean up one of most polluted seas on the planet. Fancy some fish with with heavy metal toxins? Yes We Did, Yes We Can.

Yes Sek there's an El Niño in progress (c.f. 1998)

Yet another of those variables in the Climate Equation

That is if you can now place any trust in the reporting of the global mean temperature from any of the Houses of Man Made Global Warming hype.

Which irks me considerably that Science is the loser in this enormous loss of credibility sad

So it's not the sun... what a revealing admission... so your chart with accompanying text was misguiding? Now add in 38% more GHG's and read up on the heat content increase of the oceans. We know most all of these variables.

Do we take it that Dr. Roy Spencer, the man who goes around with that particular book, god fearing, is not to be trusted too? Here's one from Dr. Roy's again if you missed to absorb in the previous posts:

Can you see it that c.f.1998 El Niño, then a series of La Nina's were not able to HIDE the direction? Is Dr. Roy and his friend Dr. John (Christy) also from the house of global warming?

Repeat after me: We know enough of all the predominant variables to know that we MUST stop fossil fuel burning ASAP!

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

PS, Dr. Roy has not circled that 2009/2010 as El Niño... has he, an expert on global climate mechanics got doubts? It's a rather moderate SOI state so I'm reading, thus where's that heat coming from David Authumns?

The chart to go with that:

Now, how about the 2005 RECORD correlation to an El Niño state, a moderate one too? Does it read like that?

The sun being a constant is an oxymoron of course... it fluxes slightly [<0.1%], this it is a constant, and thanks to sun spots more UV is coming through, because we damaged to ozone layer to add, and we're still damaging it by the CFK replacements... we know because of science.

Dress warm there up north, and still wear a hat and put on sunblock, for you will get skin damage. People that ski in Aviemore and Glenshee will know about that! Skin Cancer up 46% in just 7 years: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-517...ent-just-seven-years.html

How come... is that because science is failing?

PPS: The school kids in New Zealand never go for suntan holidays. They're required to wear hats and long sleeves... because of a man made hole. Studies show it's causing crop damage too... think they're not going for holidays anywhere.

Getting it? Yes We Do, Yes We Can, but Yes We Will [change our ways] is doubtful.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Sek you are deliberately ignoring what I said

Yes the cooling seen in that graph is on account of the waning Sun and the spike seen last year was on account of the El Nino just like the spike in 1998

Now if you won't let me claim that the Globe has cooled since 1998 as 1998 was an anomalous year then please don't try to make out that the warming seen in 2009 is part of an upwards trend in a similarly anomalous year

Yes we should minimise our use of fossil fuels wherever possible using renewables such as wave, wind, hydroelectric, river, geothermal, solar and reduce our impact on the planet as much as is technically possible throughout our lives and if that was all that this subject entailed then I am with you as much as the next man.

Unfortunately, as well you know, it isn't

Dave

No, it's very strongly the reverse. YOU are ignoring all the signs because it does not fit you. Wake up, it's happening, everywhere.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

What is happening everywhere?

An unfolding Man Made Climate Catastrophe that will wipe us from the surface of the Earth because the atmosphere is now 0.0388% CO2 and increasing at the rate of 0.0001% per year or maybe 0.0002% on an El Nino year when the Oceans warm and outgas that bit more CO2 than usual.

Come back to reality man. Let's not spin the data further than it is worthy.

I am not the one in need of waking up
