Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Astroturf--what is your point?Do you keep coming back just to irritate the good (sic) people in this thread?
While you obviously and vigorously support your rights to free speech, you seem quick to suppress that right for anyone who disagrees with you. Don't you are I both have the right to be disagreeable? Please when replying, use my correct name otherwise people reading your posts might think you were intending on insulting me, which is against Forum Policy.
Whether you know it or not a lot of good information was deleted in those threads.
As well as information that clearly violated Forum Policy, which was the reason the thread(s) were deleted.
if you cant contribute to the conversation why not ignore this part of the chat room? or start a conversation in another thread that you are passionate about
Sorry, I must have missed the post where you were appointed the moderator of this thread. I thought that I can read and post wherever and whenever I want as along as MY posts follow policy.
stop being negative
Me?? Negative?? By comparison?? I feel quite positive and upbeat right now. LOL

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

They have tried to make this on par with religion--there is no reason to hold back on your views ,you are going to be attacked no matter what side of any subject you take. But it is everyone's moral duty to inform the ignorant masses. You have to remember not to take fools seriously and try to inform them.We all want to do what's right and that has nothing to do with crunching. If you have some kind of self imposed rule i think it quells the intellect--so keep on crunching and don't be afraid to give your opinion--we all can learn--Your friend Gerald

So the mere fact that I believe I am right makes me right and gives me the right to expect and insist that others believe the same thing? I am all for rational, respectful, responsible debate. Where was that in the last thread? Are we really going to solve the issue and be able to proclaim to the world that a handful of untrained, ordinary folks have found the "Golden" truths that prove that climate change/global warming/whatever is/is not real? Now that we have a second thread on this, what has changed so significantly that we can all rest assured that it won't, or for that matter, already hasn't started down the same slippery slope? There are plenty of areas where I am undeniably part of the ignorant masses and there are plenty of people who think me a fool. So which am I really? Does my believing that I could lead a team of folks from diverse backgrounds who could get along and respect our differences and do the same with others make me part of the ignorant masses or a fool?

You know i studied philosophy and early thought when i was younger and it almost drove over the edge--we cant understand everything--it was not meant in a bad way--What the heck in this life is more important than children growing up in this upside down world?

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

and without the great green giant hoax those poor foreigners would not be able to raise the health n saftey of their working conditions(honest)

i should add a few links on outscoursing and slave labour being unstoppable

this green proppaganda has accidently beheaded everybody in civilised countries regs keeping green propagander in perspective

an unfortunate side effect

this effects the europeon genepool as the angst does not favour the indigenous populations mating rituals

hence the 1st rule of the greens is a bit contradictory (save indigenous species)

hence the endless argument

Dataman you are right

It's impossible to talk about this subject without a rapid descent in the quality of the cognitive thought processes that go into the responses wink

I'll let it lie until after Copenhagen

Dear all

(Especially those higher than about 45 degrees latitude North)

Buy a warm winter coat and get yourselves some sturdy boots. Get your stocks of coal, logs, oil, gas topped up now if you are not connected to the mains supplies. Oh and get some candles in just in case. Make sure you know where your torch is and make sure it has new batteries. Make sure your neighbours are OK. Make friends with your neighbours will be a good start. Get your Gas Boiler Serviced. Buy a big shovel. A sledge might be fun this year. If you are thinking of learning cross country skiing - great idea...start today.
Invest in topping up your home insulation and some warm woolly socks and maybe even a hot water bottle. Scarves are a good idea as are bobble hats, gloves and mittens.

That is unless you are from Newcastle biggrin (Google it)

If you are not a Geordie wrap up warm this winter

I expect it to worse than last year on account of the continued inactivity of our local star

This one

Why Dave? I hear you ask

Well..take a look here

and here

And for those of us in our 5th decade and beyond

Have you ever seen so many berries on the trees as you have this year?

It's not looking good at all

Dave

WOW. What a strong comeback. The simple ability to combine the linguistic skill of a newborn building on the talents of a graphic artist, plus the option to gloss over any language barrier. Simply awe inspiring.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

And the prize for "Worst piece of Journalism for 2009" goes to David Shukman BBC News's Science and Environment Correspondent applause

For "Arctic to be ice-free in Summer" an exposition in fearmongering propaganda in the face of reality

(that reality being that in 2009 there was an additional 1 Million Sq Kms of Sea Ice at the North Poles minima than there was just 2 years ago)

here's the link to the Copenhagen induced propaganda

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8307272.stm

and here's reality

http://www.ijis.iarc.uaf.edu/en/home/seaice_extent.htm

Incidentally that's an Egypt sized extra bit of Sea Ice that David Shukman has failed to recognise with Egypt being the 29th largest country on the Globe (32.7 Belgium's extra)

an increase in Sea Ice Coverage of the North Pole at minima of 23.5% in just 2 years

So now knowing this have another read of David Shukman's piece and see it for what it really is http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8307272.stm
