Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Welcome back Sek I see you are in good form

I take it it's that "look it's melting" time of the year again biggrin

It's just a shame it's followed all too quickly for it to disappear by yet another Winter for fans of the "inexorable decline"

There's just 3 more years for Gore's Nobel prize alarmist claim to come true

All gone in Summer in as soon as 7 years (Gore 10th December 2007)

He's the quote

"Another new study, to be presented by U.S. Navy researchers later this week, warns it could happen in as little as 7 years.

Seven years from now."

Here's the link to the fearmongering baloney

http://nobelprize.org/nobel_prizes/peace/laureates/2007/gore-lecture_en.html

In the last 3 since 2007 each year there has been more. 2007 was an extreme case due to wind dispersal. This year the polar icecap has been contained, by the wind into a smaller area. It will withstand the Summer melt just as it has done each year in it's history that we are aware of. The melting at this time of year is completely un-extraordinary.

I really popped by to bring you this link

Yet more fantastic photos of a planet that we don't control

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Dear Sek

The global thermometer does not represent the temperature of the Globe it represents the average temperature of 2680 weather stations taken hourly around the Globe from Afghanistan to Yeman and most places in between.

(60% are in North America see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_America)

This year it's being baselined

Next year we will be able to do comparisons with the same set of 2680 weather stations based around the globe from Afghanistan to Yemen

and then onwards into the future

Now if you believe that 0.0398% of the atmosphere that is CO2 causes runaway Global Warming it will show a temperature between 2 and 6C warmer by the end of the century

I don't buy that theory

Which is why I put together the Global Thermometer to gather the info directly from the weather station data provided by NOAA and present it in it's raw form unadulterated by Climate "Scientists"

It's rapidly approaching 10 million individual measurements since the beginning of the year

It's not bogus

If you would like a copy of the raw data I'm am happy to provide. You too will be able to reproduce the graph seen here

http://91.192.194.209/averagehourlytemp3.png

It's real data input to test the theory. You know that Science stuff, not knee-jerk zeitgeist politicking

David, it's the SOS that's been going on since this debate started. The chicken little alarmists can't possibly be wrong and we who disagree can't possibly be right. Hypocrites like Gore and Hanson are getting wealthy beyond their wildest dreams so they have no intentions of changing their tunes for the foreseeable future.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

nanoprobe it's much worse than that

Good luck to Gore and Hansen I hope they enjoy their ill-gotten gains.

It's the rest of us I am most concerned about and the real impacts of this nonsense on people's lives.

In my case my Car is going to be scrapped today and I can't get to see my family this weekend as I won't be able to afford public transport

Play that out across the UK and the rest of the World and everyone's life is negatively affected to differing degrees. Take out 6% of the arable land for Biofuel and see how that impacts on food prices around the world. Then claim that Nuclear is clean safe and carbon neutral....

and slowly the truth leaks out

It's insidious

I hope and pray that England doesn't go quietly into the night. I'm very sure that won't happen here. People are slowly beginning to see what's really been going on under the guise of MMGW. At the rate we're going things will change or 1776 will be revisited in one form or another.

Here we go, an image to warm the heart of any Sekerob out there

if you can't make out the petrol price - here's a close up

That's UK Pence per litre just off the peak price for petrol which was 136.9/litre

135.9p/litre = $8.45 Gallon US

Bye Bye Car

... and I have a good job

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Come to Denmark, young man
145.2 p/litre
- I don't have the breakdown (could find out, but it's too depressing) but the main part of that amount is taxation
- and there seems to be no upper limit where taxation reduction kicks in
crying
