Hi Gerald
----------------------------------------Just a tad but hey a good tune is a good tune I popped in to share this http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/road-a...and-hit-power-supply.html Manbearpig could affect my WiFi signals Now that's serial 1/2 Man 1/2 Bear and 1/2 Pig "The signal from wi-fi cannot travel as far when temperatures increase. Heavy downfalls of rain also affect the ability of the device to capture a signal." I always wondered why the signal to my laptop improved when I opened the fridge door now I know. I find it's the monsoon in my living room that's the most difficult obstacle to wifi I have had to resort to good old Cat-5 because of the constant manbearpig induced deluge. It's Ok if you epoxy the RJ-45's. Always get gold plated connections as it limits the corrosion caused by the heat and humidity of manbearpig As ever Man Made Global Warming one good belly laugh a day - guaranteed The World's gone mad Dave ![]() |

He David, still waring the giant blinkers? Yeah, it's a debate you've long won... that is, an argument with yourself is always won, what fool would continue to argue with a staunch ain't truthist... 393 ppmv CO2 in the air, by your understanding of physics and atmospheric dynamics just trace **. Specially for you Five Years , something similar to your 4 bar temperature chart... the going norm in the denylosephere. Yes the globe is cooling, that is, if you work really really, really really hard at hiding the incline... hmmm 2010 was the record year of recorded extremes, and the first 4 months of 2011 is well on it's way to break 2010's record... at a continued low [sunspot] active sun, just 8 minutes lightspeed distance, varying 0.21 watts at ground level, between maximum and minimum, of the 1365 Watts/M square or so that arrives at TOA. Sadly though we've added heath capacitance to the biocycle 18 fold of the solar variation, till now!
--//-- ** think we shared with you that higher CO2 is good for weeds, but not for cultivars, and that dear sir, is feared to go fail again substantially this year... good for food prices at the sellers side, after all, there's more of us 2 legged species than ever before, 7 billion in 2011, 9 billion in 2050, optimistically and 10.5 billion by the end of the century, when SLR will have taken care of many lowlands, mostly of the poor. By then by western living expectations we'll be needing 4 planet Earths, instead of 3 we're already consuming on a continued basis, to have access to all the wanted resources. The continued basis is of course not a sustainable basis, but we've already known that for quite a few decades. Enjoy, while it lasts. |

As a bonus, from the Vatican science group. They too no longer refer to our present epoch as "Holocene"... no we're now shaping the planet in geological terms... we're now officially in the "Anthropocene". Write that on the blackboard!
----------------------------------------Fate of Mountain Glaciers in the Anthropocene A Report by the Working Group Commissioned by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_..._Glacier_050511_final.pdf Quote: We call on all people and nations to recognise the serious and potentially irreversible impacts of global warming caused by the anthropogenic emissions of greenhouse gases and other pollutants, and by changes in forests, wetlands, grasslands, and other land uses. We appeal to all nations to develop and implement, without delay, effective and fair policies to reduce the causes and impacts of climate change on communities and ecosystems, including mountain glaciers and their watersheds, aware that we all live in the same home. By acting now, in the spirit of common but differentiated responsibility, we accept our duty to one another and to the stewardship of a planet blessed with the gift of life. We are committed to ensuring that all inhabitants of this planet receive their daily bread, fresh air to breathe and clean water to drink, as we are aware that, if we want justice and peace, we must protect the habitat that sustains us. "We are committed..." 1 Billion+ people in permanent state of hunger, and rising again! Whilst we crunched for more nutritious rice, actual nutrient content of wheats have been dropping due rising CO2... somewhere in this long overdue for binning thread the last measured percent was printed. This is verified and deeply concerning FACT! [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at May 10, 2011 4:56:08 PM] |

actual nutrient content of wheats have been dropping due rising CO2--Pray tell how in the world does CO2 drop the nutrient content in Wheat or any other grown food--AGW--a fool and his money is soon parted

Dear Sek there isn't a climate crisis nor is 393 parts per million CO2 in the atmosphere changing our climate in any demonstrable way given the natural variability inherent in what is a chaotic system
----------------------------------------The rising price and limited availability of food is only increased by those supporting crazy "climate crisis" solutions I cannot conscience the concept that there are too many people on Planet Earth. The raison d'etre of the World Community Grid is to improve the quality and longevity of Peoples lives Are you really trying to say this aspiration is a bad thing? As for me I don't What I see is a removal of Mankind's potential through the nonsense that is associated with a vision of the future that those that support the apocalyptic extremes of Man Made Global Warming wish to thrust down our throats While I still have 78% Nitrogen and 21% Oxygen and 1% other trace gases in my lungs I will not be silenced while this absolute travesty continues If you think that this thread shouldn't be on the World Community Grid which relies on the availability of reasonably priced electrical energy for it's research and that things in the UK have changed since the first post in this thread see http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2011-03-28/u-k-...-closure-matrix-says.html Perfectly sound power stations, without the legacy or risk of Nuclear, will have to be turned off on account of "Climate Change" And here is the UK news today http://www.uswitch.com/news/utilities/bank-pr...s-of-15-and-10-900000016/ Could you tell me what is the driver behind these additional increases on top of these of 116% increases since 2004? ![]() and yet here is the inconvenient truth http://junksciencearchive.com/MSU_Temps/RSSglobe.png 0.1C anomaly for April 2011 Yep just 1/10th of 1 degree C above normal - for March it was 0.0C and yet all kinds of extraordinary claims are made that this "alarming warming" is causing As I say in another thread I hope I can go on to contribute another 25 years of number crunching towards the great humanitarian research being carried out here on the World Community Grid Unless the Climate nonsense stops us all in the UK Lots of love from the UK Dave ![]() |
