Re: Final Batches of IADS have been determined.

how do you get so many wu's.
My que is 10 days and i cant change it to more!
I only receive 5 tasks

Part of it may be due to the % on time computer is on and % on time BOINC is running flags.

If it thinks you are only running BOINC 30% of the time, it will only give you 3 days of work even with a 10 day queue.

- then we will see uplinger on CNN with the breaking news headline:
No more flu-wu'. wink

Extra, Extra....sorry that's the newspaper...I didn't make it on CNN :(
BUT, I did make it in the forums :) :) :)

The good news is (I know for badge hunters it may not be), all of the new work units have been sent out. This means that only repair jobs will be sent out over the next 2 weeks. This project is slated to be intermittent just like the DDDT Phase 1 project. We will let members know when new work is available for this project if/when it becomes available.

Many Thanks to all the members who helped work on the first part of this project! biggrin

Maybe uplinger meant fed to the feeder, then they move into shared memory aka hopper, which is where you get the results from. Think that part can hold 3000 or so jobs

applause Re: Final Batches of IADS have been sent.

Looks like they are all out now. I am now getting the no work message on more than one of my machines. Another one bites the dust.

That's excellent news - well done one and all.

Now, it's just a case of waiting and hoping that you've got enough stored in your queue to get the badge you're looking for. On a personal basis, I'm reasonably confident that I've got enough for Gold - although, until that 'fat lady sings', and my Silver turns to Gold, you just never know...

Re: Final Batches of IADS have been sent.

It has been a wild ride for the Badge Chaser.
First Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire where added.
A short time later a suprise ending to DDDT
CEP and now IADS with very little time inbetween.
I can't say for sure if I will make Sapphire for IADS. I caculate I will be short by about 10 days but since each WU varies by as much as 2 hours I have a margin of error of about +-25 days for the amout of work that I have queued up. Good luck everyone!

This project is slated to be intermittent just like the DDDT Phase 1 project.

If you have time, will you let us know when it is moved to "intermittent" please? I took the project off of all my computers to give the work units I would have normally received to the folks trying to get another badge before the project ended. I'll put it back on my computers once it becomes "intermittent".
