If you look in the Beta Announcement forum you will see they did a very short DDDT2 beta that has large work units. They should push you closer to silver I had three die, one with a known error and two others with over 20 hours with GPFs ... so I killed the rest ... Yeah, had they run I would be closer, but silver is more than several days away ... and if the tasks are all dying ... well, that is the risk in beta tests ... |

Paul, I agree ruby is ugly and like you I am going back to the old projects to get saphire. Currently just a couple days away for saphire for HCC. Then HPF and then FAH. Have over 460 days for each so should not take long. By the way I see you slowly creaping up on me. My new i7 is slowing, probably the enevitable of you catching me, but maybe I can cobble together a few more computers to stay ahead of you! Well, the only reason I am creeping up is that all 5 of my computers, less NCI and GPU attached projects are doing only WCG till I get a couple more Sapphire badges and the rest into Emerald ... I am running Rice at the moment and in 5-7 days should be Sapphire there ... I am a few days away from there on FAAH (1:356, about 10 hours of all my machines) and HCC is also near at 358 days though I don't know how many tasks I have in pending there ... rice is at 1:165 though it should be at about 1:180 in the morning ... My low two are HCMD2 and HFCC at 217 and 159 days ... so, after I push the current focus over the edges I will turn my attention to them to get them to at least mid emerald ... sadly that means about another month doing only WCG on my computers ... longer if Phase 2 of Dengue starts ... As to the pride in earning any level, I agree completely ... and my comment on my not liking the color should not have been taken to disparage anyone's effort. It was a comment on the aesthetics only ... not on the meaning ... good/bad news is that I do have the ability to "force" my way if you will because I have the compute power to "muscle" my way to my personal goals ... And if you look you will see that I do have only Gold in places and will forever be stuck there ... My single minded pursuit of Sapphire for many of the projects is vanity and at teh moment I am concentrating on that because several of the projects are likely to reach their end game if I did not dedicate myself to this activity. Were I not so vain I would be still running most of the 50+ active projects maximizing my Cobblestone scores and spreading my wealth ... well, that is vanity too ... :) Anyway, this is why I only rarely speak of my interests here ... :) |

Looks like I will be making it to 177 days... I have had no luck getting WU's after Oct 1. I hope that tonight brings a flood of no reply resends.

I just got 2 WUs and my machine is crunching them now. I don't think that I will get beyind gold level since I am at 104 days for this project.
