01: Dataman - 84,217 points ![]() ![]() And I thought you had shut your crunchers down due to the heat. Must be one heck of a PV jail you've got! ![]() Nope, kept them running ... it was only 99F. had a big jail break though. ![]() An impressive total for one day, even if partly jailbreak induced. Just out of curiosity, has any MOT member ever hit 100K+ points in a day? - D |

Glad to see DM with so many points here a WCG. ![]() Why is that? I have one more machine to bring up and one to fix that is running at 50%. The new heat sinks should be here today and I should get to 100% of the farm. Then I can get back to some projects I have been neglecting. Forecast is for 104F today. However the models have been so screwed up lately I will just have to see what happens. Good news is there is suppose to be a cooling trend starting tomorrow. @Darth: I'll get it done today. Good morning MOT! ![]() ![]() |

Good morning MOT! ![]() I love to see more of the WCG projects get done. I don’t like to see resources lured away from the WCG to other projects as I am a firm supporter of WCG and I think their projects are among, if not the, best. I think the WCG set up these forums as part of WCG for the benefit of WCG projects and their contributors. I do not think it is responsible to use the WCG forums to lure people's resources away from the WCG projects to other projects. It could just be me but it seems like "not the right thing to do"; whether or not the WCG restricts it, or officially discourages it. Again, it could just be me. |

RT -- My feelings are the same as yours, but the discussions relating to graphics processing can also be viewed as providing the WCG team with a perspective on that. I know it is something that is or has been under consideration by them.

I know it is something that is or has been under consideration by them. When you say "...providing the WCG team with a perspective on that..." who do you mean? The MOT-WCG team? or the people that work for WCG and CAs? If it is for the MOT-WCG team then how much is enough/should it dominate discussion here? And if it is for the people that work for WCG and the CAs, then should it be hidden in the MOT discussion thread or should it be someplace else? All I am looking at is that I think it is luring resources away from WCG and while competition is great and all that (I mean that), it just seems wrong doing it with the resources supplied by WCG. Or is it just that I am being too protective of the WCG? Certainly I cannot judge it for everyone but it warrants consideration in my humble opinion. |

I am thinking of the actual employees of IBM on the WCG Team. |
