15: darth_vader - 5,490 points Nice day today Darth! You're right about one third of the way from the top, far from bringing up the rear. Thanks. This was mostly due to a PV jailbreak... and cooler nights here in the SW corner of Silicon Valley. It's not the beginning of a trend, at least not yet. - D |

uh oh.. already have a "computational error" on a human proteome wu on wcg.. with the new version.. Mike.. Not unusual on an upgrade. I usually drain the queue and report them before a BOINC upgrade. If you get comp errors on new wu;\'s let me know. Off to bed now but let me know how it goes. If you continue to get HPF2 errors, you might have to de-select the project. HPF2 has a couple of long-standing problems on some machine and operating system combinations. There's several threads over in the HPF2 forum. I've had to deselect it because it gets stuck in an infinite loop on two of my machines every now and then (CPU time increases, completion percentage stays stuck, you can bounce it manually but you can lose hours of processing). On the other hand HPF2 seems to run fine on 99+% of systems so if it's just a one time occurrence, then don't worry about it. As DM said, it's best to finish and report all WUs that you have before moving to a new BOINC version. - D |

so far everything seems to work fine.. after just over an hour it's at 2.4 percent.. as slow as I am.. Yes, I looked up the spec's on your card this morning and it has less shaders than I thought it had. It will take 2 days @ 24/7 but you will be able to complete wu's within their 4-5 day return times. Here is the spec on your card if you are interested. Is this in a laptop? This was a popular laptop card. You made amazing progress though. When I started it took a couple of weeks before I figured it out and returned my first good wu. *** Good morning MOT! ![]() ![]() |
