Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

What is the end date for this project on this chart ? It is hard for me to tell. I may need to find some more horsepower if I am going to put in a full 2 years before the end.

Cheers coffee

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

Well, it looks to be about the last week in May, but if everyone starts 'going-for-it', it could well be sooner . . . .

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

Say it isn't so. The end date already made a big jump in the past few days. Just three days ago when I made this post , it looked like completion would be in August or September. Now I may not be able to reach my goal before the end of the project. crying

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

@ NixChix ... I agree with you if the end is near on this project i will live with emerald on it cause i have over 300 cpu days to go till Sapphire and i can only muster 4 cores total.

i think your biggest hope is that DDDT-2 comes out and the completion of this project slows or such..

personally i am happy if a project completes whether or not i got the badge i wanted.

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

my only dilemma is whether I should stop at double sapphire or try for 5 years. I wish I knew what the next badge level was going to be.....

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

I have a personal vendetta against childhood cancer and almost feel I will have failed in my revenge if I don't have a blue badge hanging on my wall. I may have to play Dr. Frankenstein and resurrect some old PCs to assist in the fight. laughing If I crunch 24x7, will finish in 57 calendar days. That might been just in time.

Well I am a Badge Hunter, and getting Sapphires on all active projects is my primary goal. devilish
It looks like you have been doing a great job at that evilkats.

applause Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

Aiming for 5 years does sound like a good number to go for.

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

i think your biggest hope is that DDDT-2 comes out and the completion of this project slows or such...

It has indeed been slowing the last 3 days (from 40000 batches to 35000 a day). However, part of that is the weekend slowdown, and even at 35k batches a day it will be just 29 days until we reach #3,000,000 (currently crunching #1960399). movieman's initiative and badge hunters may increase the speed. Sek also pointed out that with the other 2 targets there haven't been 3 mio, but about 2,85 mio batches...

So in essence, we should see the end of regular WUs within lesss than 30 days, maybe May 25 or earlier. Uplinger, are you still believing there is more work than 30 days? biggrin

Regards,
Martin
