Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

March 11, when even this side of the planet the ground went up and down by 3 centimeters, instrumentally. Almost 92% we're now and watch HCC1 after, for if the one beta I had is an indication, the windows part (probably 90%), is going to run near 2x faster too. The techs will be tuning the scheduler/feeder or really get serious about packaging multiple jobs in one task... it would mean not 200,000+ a day, but 400,000 results daily just from 1 science.

What great news for science. I look ford to using the new application.

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

Just as we wrap up the 6th Target ''L4'', we passed a few more intermediate milestones: 35,000 CPU years and 45 million results.

applause

If with 2 more targets to come [see post Viktors ], about 11.5 to 12 million results are being readied for crunching... rather sooner than later.

Crunching on, at WCG of course :-)

love struck Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

Up and away, as I predicted in another thread [and being in charge of making up the numbers anyhow ;P), it took a little to reach a level of daily contribution to draw a sensible longer range forecast from, so had it locked at 180 days since relaunch.

Well, today the "days left" barometer started to finally move when T3 (3 day average tasks) hit 62K and that being good to tell 178.3 days are remaining. When T7 (7 days average tasks) hits the same level, we'll be having an refined outlook [see WCGPI1 or WCGDSH charts)... until the official 30 days left warning arrives, again :D

Till then, have a good crunch at Helping to Fight Childhood Cancer.

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

Is taget 8 out ? Based on the crunching chart there is a significant upside in the number of work-units being crunched.

Today marks the first [pre] alert for an estimated 60 days left of normal work supply for this research... see Thé Dashboard

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

Well, I'm already on the brink of my Sapphire badge (1 yr, 364 days), so, if I don't manage to line up all of my other badges for a 'mega-upgrade' in time, then I'll just have to go alone with this one. Hopefully though, I should have GFAM (nothing to Bronze), DSFL (Bronze to Silver), C4CW (Gold to Ruby) and HPF2 (Ruby to Emerald) lined up and ready to go within the '60 days'... In an ideal world, I'd also like to get Beta (Silver to Gold) ready to upgrade as well - although that's certainly a long shot...

Re: The Help Fight Childhood Cancer Crunching Chart

Botched my scheme... overshot C4CW by 1.7 hours and then when away, the home alone desktop kicked CEP2 across into sapphire too, so no quaddruple upgrade until a few new sciences show up again.

Mind you, would we get a 4th tranche of targets for HFCC? It's in the back of me head.:D

Yes, juggling so many projects so as to try and get them to 'click over' all at the same time, is more complicated than at first it seems. Especially when the individual WU times vary even within the same project (i.e., for HFCC, I've had WU's from as short as 3.18 to 12.47 Hrs).

As to whether there's another tranche of HFCC targets, only time will tell - although even if there is, I very much doubt that I'll be taking part (my next big push to Sapphire, will probably be HPF2, whilst C4CW will be my next Emerald upgrade).
