Got an error that seems to have slipped through the validator

I have received 1 at which it was esttamated at 12 hours; but was accually completed successfully at 3.55 hours.

I have finally finished crunching one of my cep beta's it is pending validation, and it took me little over 18hr's

Two of the six CEP Beta that I have are now validated, taking about 6+ hours instead of the original 12 hours estimated.

I am not too sure that the automatic reboot of MS Windows Update always follows the rules of good behavior. Hear hear... especially for those of us using BOINC as just the agent rather than the service and without automatically logging on. Just ends up in lost crunching! Booo! Got a CEP one myself. It downloaded about 20 hours ago, but to a machine that only runs at 50% CPU for only 18 hours a day. Also, I don't have access to it at the moment as I'm at work, so I don't know what the estimate is for completion. Looking forward to upgrading my CEP silver to a Gold, but this project might have to fight for time against the "TrkB" one if both start up at the same time? |

I received and crunched 6 successfully yesterday with all valid results. The longest took 5.64 hours.

All three Beta type B crunched simultaneously on my Phenom Quad Linux Fedora10 x86_64 validated fine. Times were 3.21, 3.99 and 4.72 hours.
My first type A errored out after 7.74 hours: Result Log <core_client_version>6.2.15</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> Calling initGraphics() INFO: No state to restore. Start from the beginning. [ERROR] Failed to open either source or destination files while copying wcgrestart.rst to ../../projects/www.worldcommunitygrid.org/BETA_E000338_434A_00251a004_0_3. Error: 2 called boinc_finish </stderr_txt> ]]> This was on my Athlon64 dual core running RHEL5.3. The remaining type A is about 75% finished with 16.5 hours so far and about 5.5 ETA. This is running on a Centrino 1.6 with Fedora10. |
