Northern Climes has nice weather forecast for today and the next few days, I might just be able to get the grass cut at last.
Brugge brings back a load of memories too, and Ghent, and Antwerp etc. I loved Belgium, mind you it could well have changed since I was there in the 1960s. Wonder how "H" and Evy are? not to mention Caspar. If they read this stop by and say hi. |

I don't know how it was when you were here, Ted, but it's nice, clean, affluent looking
- and did the Belgians smile when you were here? They didn't when I was here about 1975. But they do now! I like it! The receptionist pointed to the nice houses in the neighbourhood as a target for my evening stroll. Now as then private homes are very attractive, and she referred to a Belgian saying of: "Every Belgian has a brick in his stomach" - well, I know the passion of construction and pathologic builders ... I don't think they use the same set of blueprints twice. |

How strange Ted - I came across Evy and family yesterday (photos!) and by complete accident. I will see if I can find the picture again and forward them to you!! Don't hold your breath, but watch this space!

Evening all
Another fabulous warm and sunny autumn day. Took my BBC neighbour and partner out to lunch to say goodbye as he's off to Salford on Thursday. I tried to persuade him that I should interview any potential buyers before he made a final decision. I think, quite reasonably, the closest to the asking price with the certainty of it not having mortgage problems will rule the day. |
