Rain, Floods, A6 closed in several places, M6 closed southbound, Motorway traffic diverted through the city centre , Grid lock, Major building construction with large wagons delivering materials, Road works ,Temp Traffic lights,Traffic jams, Kids back at school,Mums on school runs,Truck broken down in one way system More Rain , High winds.

but life goes on in traffic jams I get to ponder the big questions in life ......

Why is the carton of lemon juice made with artificial flavouring,
and dishwashing liquid made with real lemons? sad

Re: Re:Edwardians

Good Morning!
Teddying, windy, cold
- well clouds breaking up as I report and rush in tatters across the blue patches

This has been our second wettest summer since record keeping started in 1874.
The distribution around the world is not fair
- Texas was scorched for weeks and is now dotted with wildfires ...

Evening all

Dry but cool here and tomorrow is forecast to be similar which is good news as I have a pensioner's walk around Chelsea.

Re: Re:Edwardians

Enjoy your jaunt tomorrow Ivan are you intending to wear the red jacket and tricorn hat to blend in ??

**^*^*^*^*^*^*^^^*^*^^^*^*^*^*^*^*^^**^*^^**

Mid week lul in the nasty weather just steady dribble with light winds .
little task that's been on the worksheet since weekend
replace a failed lamp in the living room, housed in an impossible small lamp shade couldn't detach the glass shade fingers just touch the lamp as luck was with me and I had a pair of surgical instrument forceps.
As you all probably know the incandescent lamps of 60w and above are now not being made. However today I saw on the market 60w & 100w lamps so I purchased some of the lamps. smile

Re: Re:Edwardians

Good Morning!
Windy, cool, teddying
- the birches outside my window have many yellow leaves all of a sudden
- that is early, I think
- it cannot be lack of water
- it could be they are water logged instead perhaps

thinking

What ever causes it , its a nice time of year
The season of mists and mellow fruitfulness

For Merle

That's to say it would be nice if it stopped raining sad
