You wouldn't feel like going to Poole to say hello to Guitar Man? Well to be honest, I have already done that some time ago! I don't really do long journeys any more! He would have to call on me now, one day when he is passing! ![]() |

If you hit the M3, on your way to Poole, you could drop off at Camberley, in Surrey, and pay me a visit! ![]() It would bring Rosie quite close to Smoke, Google Maps try to say - but not too, too close or? |

@ don den: You know so much. My mushy cannot devour that! My method is more like watch and enjoy.
The three wheeler may be a true Reliant (wasn't it made in India at some point?), but it's ugly! I remember from the soccer matches shown on Danish TV a zillion years ago that these little Reliants - probably owned by handicapped people - were parked behind the goals. The Scimitar was - and is, because in my mind the design holds up - a beauty! And its petrol tank held 90 liters! @ Merle: It was your suggestion that triggered this: That you should get together before it being too late. I would be happy to take you along, but only if you would be happy being taken along as well. ![]() |

----------------------------------------http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltJGHXkDZE0 Hanger lane Gyratory the most infamous "Roundabout" in the greater London area. Also known as "Malfunction Junction" Marble arch is kinda fun if heading north from south of the river to Edgware and the M1 having to cross several lanes of traffic. The Périphérique in Gay Parree is a nightmare I kept getting drawn onto it like being caught in a whirlpool Barcelona is as much of a horrific experience multi lane highway striking right through the middle at either side there are Domestic carriageways In all of these example's its easy if you know where your going .And as a Motorcyclist in these Cities(Also known as an Organ doner's) you are feeling pretty vulnerable so tend to be quite aggressive in riding style. |

I brought my laptop down to Rosie (altho she's small it's easier than bring her up here)
so she could see some serious British driving. She thinks it could be done, but the fast lane being the slow one opposite of ours does confuse her even tho she was born in Japan where they do it British style. |

![]() A superior breed to anything available anywhere in Europe No doubt it is superior. But - excuse me for asking - why do you Brits buy Danish bacon then? If you raised your own we should be spared many a bad-smell-day |

I have some appointments in the next couple of weeks with the local hospital for some procedures, and I have to go in as an 'inpatient'. When I come out, I am not allowed to stay here alone, so have to have a friend to stay! I guess you could say that all my "plans" are on hold at the moment! Maybe some time in the future, eh? |

Have you thought about visiting the Tank Museum at Bovington.
http://www.tankmuseum.org/ Or the Motor Museum http://www.beaulieu.co.uk/ or even Corfe Castle http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/main//w-vh/w-visits/w-findaplace/w-corfecastle/ |

Good Morning!
Calm and warm but teddying energetically .... @ Merle: I hope everything goes well. Being tied up the way you are now with medical matters sort of clears the agenda of other things, but unless you're at the hospital I would be pleased to drop in (with an appointment as good as we can make it) to say hello. And I understand you'll have people staying with you to assist with boiling the water I wish you the best of luck with the procedures. Please let us know how you progress. @ Guitar Man: No, I did not. And looking at them, I would probably not, and here is why: I just visited Deutsches Panzer Museum in Munster, Germany (they have a "Panzer" School in that town and huge German and NATO exercising/training areas in the region). Well, "visited": I ran late. They mercilessly close the gate an hour ahead of closing time sharp, so I could not get in, but was able to look at the species they had outside and decided they covered my curiousity after all. So, no real appetite for those beetles anymore. I have one "car" museum on my list already. One is enough, and my gut feeling is that Coventry is the better. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The castle needs repair Well, not to sound blasé, but at my age one has seen enough castle ruins to cover the rest of your life. They must be really exceptional to get you out of the car, so to speak. Even some castles in good repair can have difficulty making the list sometimes. I hope not to come across as "difficult", so please keep your suggestions coming. .... and I can do without teddying |
