Afternoon all
It's clouding over here at present but I'm still hoping for a dry day and Lord's visit in the morning and that doesn't mean that I have any idea what the cloud Internet connection is all about. |

A question box that I have never opened. but you get me going so I googled and now I've read it all up  I'm just as wise as you now  Your puzzle from a day or so back why "crossed fingers" ? This looks as if it relates to the Cross so its religious in origin. When religious persecution was rife asking if you followed the catholic faith could be answered truthfully if behind your back your fingers had been crossed. Maybe this continues if telling a Porky with your fingers crossed it doesnt count, and it was certainly so when I was a kid |
