Re: Re:

Back from the Dentist ...... 2 fillings and £47 lighter in my wallet crying
My dad had the right idea, he only had the toothache once, after that he had all his teeth taken out, chewing a nut, he would roll it around his gums for hours.

There you go Tony sad
You still have your teef, biggrin biggrin the Dentist has the means to half fill his car tank now cool
Best of all he has kept your Piggy bank/mouth intact for another raid/appointment around Feb next year wink
ref your dad ;
Visiting Granny she would oftentimes give you a small bag of almonds. Good ole Nana love struck
Many years later we found out she used to get half a pound of sugared almonds each week and suck the sugar coating off and give the almonds to the grand kids when they visited crying
All down to National health Gnashers or rather Lack of them devilish

Teeth

English Teeth, English Teeth!
Shining in the sun
A part of British heritage
Aye, each and every one.
English Teeth, Happy Teeth!
Always having fun
Clamping down on bits of fish
And sausages half done.
English Teeth! HEROES' Teeth!
Hear them click! and clack!
Let's sing a song of praise to them -
Three Cheers for the Brown Grey and Black.

Re: Re:

Don't you have any NHS participation in paying dentists' bills?
We do to some degree in Denmark, altho most find the contribution too low
- using that as one more excuse for not going to the dentist regularly

No, just 'bog-standard' white stuff. Must have been in the chair all of 10 minutes! You should have seen some of the 'bills' I have had in the past - make your hair curl!! (I wonder what happened to 'National Health'?) I just take it all on the chin now (No joke meant) and think to myself "oh well, it's only money and I can't take it with me!".
