Re:

Moring all smile

The Paint ran out ,of the small tin of "Brilliant white crown Gloss" after I had done the downstairs loo.
So went out and tried to purchase another tin.
No Crown so bought Dulux Brill white. Different product entirely
The crown was a gel formation, the dulux traditional in that it smelt of paint required stirring well and worst of all had a 16 hour drying time
Dog managed not to become half white and paint is hair free
The finish this morning is far superior to the crown its a mirror gloss
and I will have to repaint that which I had done with the crown. sad

Re: Re:

smile Good moaning all .....

I took my grandaughter for a walk to feed the ducks yesterday, part of the walk was through the local spinney, the lakes being at the far end, she was facinated by the number of different birds, insects and wild flowers that we encountered, It took me back to my own youth and a safer society, a time when we could play outside all day, get muddy, climb trees, catch butterflys and collect frogspawn in a jam jar! (sigh)
they were good ol' days.
We fed the ducks and made the same journey back but by then a group of local lads had turned up on their mountain bikes and were using the spinney like Brands Hatch! needless to say the tranquility of the spinney was lost.

I hope you all had a pleasent day ...... rose good luck

Re: Re:

Evening all

A dry but cloudy day here and feeling a bit off myself, I did very little outside and ever getting more like an old fogie, I keep forgetting where I last put down my tools.

Re: Re:

sad Moaning.............

Cold and damp here not like spring at all.

I walked to the supermarket yesterday afternoon, some 4 miles there and back, thought a brisk walk and the fresh air would do me good!! my body is now stiff and aches all over, a few years ago I would have run double the distance with a rifle and rucksack on my back without even getting breathless!!.
I don't think I'll bother with the London Marathon this year biggrin

Have a good day .............

Re: Re:

Evening all

A damp and fairly miserable day meant that the finishing up of the outside door etc didn't get done but, at least, the forecast for tomorrow is more promising.

No reports of any requests for street closures around here but I can remember when it was Charlie and Di we were in Bebington and managed to drive to the beach for the day with virtually empty roads.
