Re: .

smile Good moaning all .......

Two Irish nuns have just arrived in USA ,and one says to the other, "I hear that the people in this country actually eat dogs."

"Odd," her companion replies, "but if we shall live
in America, we might as well do as the Americans do."

As they sit, they hear a push cart vendor yelling,
"Hot Dogs, get your dogs here," and they both walk
towards the hot dog cart.

"Two dogs, please!," says one. The vendor is very pleased to oblige, wraps both hot dogs in foil and hands them over. Excited, the nuns hurry to a bench and begin to unwrap their 'dogs.'

The mother superior is first to open hers.

She begins to blush, and then staring at it for a moment, leans to the other Nun and in a soft brogue whispers......

"What part did you get?" biggrin devilish

Have a nice day .... good luck rose

Old Sage wink

Re: .

Evening all

Light rain here this afternoon after I had a guy to cut the ivy back. Now have to spend some more money replacing the side wooden gate which is about on its last legs - if one can say a gate has legs!

Yesterday I started a small DIY job, fit new handle to the downstairs loo door . The small spring that keeps the handle horizontal had failed
Dont you know it......I thought I would replace the internal works at the same time.........Ah but The existing lock was non standard .The new handles look nice but I had to fit a fillet and cut a fresh hole for the new lock , non of the holes for the door furniture match so have had to fill and will have to repaint the door sad all for a twopence spring............

The cockle shell heroes Marines who Paddled canoes seventy miles to Bordeaux having been dropped of the French coast from a Sub were remembered yesterday by unveiling of a memorial
The canoes were folding and not very streamlined there was a bit on the news yesterday showing one pretty primitive ......
the team did attach explosives to eight vessels then tried to make their escape two managed to walk out through France down into Spain to Gib and safety the majority of the party were shot by the Germans .
I'm sure you know all about this Ted as do some of us of a certain age but I think its worth a mention for our readers that are unaware of these sort of raids
