Re: Yorkshire bandits Recruiting Now

Hi Chris,

Are you FoggyJon ? That's the only member I can see in the 'Yorkshire Bandits' team at the mo. I wondered what part of our great county you hail from ? I'm from the Holderness in East Yorkshire near Spurn Point.

I'm guessing you are the Founder, I wondered if The Bandits wanted any company ? I did briefly crunch for your team, quite a time ago but moved to the Boinc@Hull team as I thought there would be more interaction between members. Not so. Now I'm looking for a Team to join and somewhere to invite others to come on board and crunch.

Tell me what you think.

Yours James

Re: Yorkshire bandits Recruiting Now

I too am in Yorkshire, unfortunatly I already have a successful team (The Edwardians) that have been together for the past eight years, first at Grid Org and now at WCG, so wont be able to join you. However Good luck to you and more power to your elbow!

Re: Yorkshire bandits Recruiting Now

I realise this team/thread has been dormant for a while, but joined anyway as no other Yorkshire team appears to be active.

@ rogerggbr

Whilst there are 790 teams identified as GB only the UK team, The Edwardians and Team Mamajuanauk are currently active in the forum.

Cheers jonnieb,
I used to do distributed.net many many years ago but this seems a more worthwhile cause. Had a few spare (old) computers available so seemed a shame not to use them.
All the best.

Re: Yorkshire bandits Recruiting Now

Just thought I'd moonlight a while biggrin

Dyed in the wool Tyke.

Over in Harrogate - the posh bit of Yorkshire wink

Heard an advert on Stray FM for The Royal Horticultural Society at Harlow Carr in Harrogate <-- that's a nightmare for a Yorkshire Man or in this case lady to say. As bad as the rain in Spain for Audrey Hepburn biggrin

Re: Yorkshire bandits Recruiting Now

Thanks Dave,
I am currently in Brighouse. That's the bit of Yorkshire with a Huddersfield postcode, Huddersfield area phone code but pays council tax to Halifax. Some would argue both councils want it. I say it's no mans land.

p.s. went to Harlow Carr last year. Lovely Cafe.

Re: Yorkshire bandits Recruiting Now

That would be the very famous Betty's

An offshoot (keeping with the Orticulteral theme wink) of the original in Harrogate Town Centre

The only town in Yorkshire pronounced with the Aitch.

Brighouse of Brass Band fame http://www.brighouseandrastrickband.co.uk/ I watched a Brass Band in the bandstand of Valley Gardens only last week. Nearly went out and ordered new Plusnet Broadband biggrin

They were not quite in tune unlike the Brighouse and Rastrick

I'll upload a video when I get a chance. worried

I have walked many a mile in and around Calderdale http://www.calderdalehike.org.uk/ I completed this in 20 hours way back when I was a teenager

Right I'd best get back t'work

ahl sithee
