Yes Betty's. The one in Harrogate centre always seems to be too far busy and Harlow Carr is not far away. My favourite is the one in Ilkley though.
One of the few other famous things to come out of Brighouse, besides the band, is Brandy Snap This was a report in the local paper some years ago, including a trip down memory lane for some of us. Well worth a read. |

I visited the one in Ilkley some 30(?) years ago. I don't think 30 blokes on rugby tour was the type of clientel they were looking to attract!

----------------------------------------Something that could not not be more Yorkshire Enjoy ![]() If it goes wobbly in the middle its just my attempts to contain a huge belly laugh. In my defence I have played Clarinet in a Band (Once in the Bandstand in Whitby) enjoy playing Guitar these days and enjoy good music of all types . Not quite Brighouse and Rastrick but you have to appreciate the dedication that goes in to getting all that together. A beautiful sunny Sunday evening in Yorkshire ...unlike today ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by David Autumns at Jun 22, 2013 5:49:07 PM] |

Thanks for the videos David.
Brass still very popular round here - local school has Saturday morning music groups of various sorts to teach it. They get pretty good too. |

Hi David,
Good luck in Lancashire. Plenty of folk in Earby (nice pub last time I was there) wish they could come back to Yorkshire as the village has changed hands more than once wiki entry Powerful computers you have there. Mine are mostly old/spares not doing much else - one is just a print server that has to be left switched on so we can print. It lives in the cellar with the printer, just chugging away keeping the cellar warm, along with an old laptop that has a broken screen. Another I have is an old server (HP ML350) which I put a copy of vmware on to have a go at virtualising. This has now ended up running 4 x desktop linux OS, each running WCG. Initially this was just to see how hard I could push it, but I have let it run. Roger |
