Blizzie -- look out behind you! I just felt something whizzing by me! I can't compete CPU wise with RT at WCG. But I can compete BOINC wise with my video card. ![]() |

I just let bionic use my other 2 cores. The last time I did this, my motherboard power connector fused to my motherboard and both became worthless. I did limit CPU usage to 60% so maybe it won't suck so much power this time.
----------------------------------------I did notice that my first two cores went from 55 degrees (average) to 64 degrees average. I probably ought to install a better fan. I'm going to watch this for a few days, but I might have to save those other two cores for stuff that I want to do... Anyway, I did manage to fire up three more computers. They should start reporting pretty soon, so I hope that helps with the score. With all these computers running and my main computer running quite a bit warmer, I won't have to run my heater to heat my house! LOL

It's 38 outside and 77 inside and my fire has dwindled down to a memory! ![]()

Blizzie -- look out behind you! I just felt something whizzing by me! It is all for the cause!I will be glad when/if WCG gets the ability to use the Graphics Cards and Blizzie can coach us on how to make it all work. It sounds like that will help a lot and it is certainly more cost effective. Everyone have a great Friday! ![]() |

For $250 he bought a GPU that dramatically outperforms an i7 8core. At the end of the day, for crunching, 200+ slower smaller processors trumps 8 fast ones. |
