I can't compete CPU wise with RT at WCG. But I can compete BOINC wise with my video card. laughing

Re: smilesmile Join "MyOnlineTeam" Today - Chapter 31 smilesmile

I just let bionic use my other 2 cores. The last time I did this, my motherboard power connector fused to my motherboard and both became worthless. I did limit CPU usage to 60% so maybe it won't suck so much power this time.
I did notice that my first two cores went from 55 degrees (average) to 64 degrees average. I probably ought to install a better fan.
I'm going to watch this for a few days, but I might have to save those other two cores for stuff that I want to do...

Anyway, I did manage to fire up three more computers. They should start reporting pretty soon, so I hope that helps with the score.

With all these computers running and my main computer running quite a bit warmer, I won't have to run my heater to heat my house! LOL

I look at my systems as "space heaters" in the winter -- in the summer they become a good reason to turn the AC on sooner. biggrin

Well, it's also saving me some firewood. It's 38 outside and 77 inside and my fire has dwindled down to a memory! biggrin

smile It is all for the cause!

I will be glad when/if WCG gets the ability to use the Graphics Cards and Blizzie can coach us on how to make it all work. It sounds like that will help a lot and it is certainly more cost effective.

Everyone have a great Friday! smile

The last thing I coached was a Canadian little league team. Didn't go well. Anyways, Blizzie's got the right idea. For $250 he bought a GPU that dramatically outperforms an i7 8core. At the end of the day, for crunching, 200+ slower smaller processors trumps 8 fast ones.
