Hi Wraithed At least now we are talking. You have garnered a great daily total and I think you will, all things being equal, get to us before we get to Canada. It will be the first occasion that MOT has taken a step backwards since the start of the project. But when you get this high there's not a lot of up and a great deal of down  Night Dave I think you guys have done amazingly well for a group of geographically dispersed people banded together under the name "MyOnlineTeam". We were just saying in the locker room over at TW that you guys have more crunch than Nestles. I heartily endorse that summation of our feelings. ;) Tweaked colors:  |

Some Friendly Advice about TW:
1. don't go to Tribalwar.com if you do not have an extremely thick skin. It is a ruthless place. It is funny, but if you show any weakness, you become the target of opportunity. 2. We have a very wide variety of members from heroin users to nuclear physisists. From green party to nazi party. 3. Do not respond to taunts, let the forum moderators quietly do their jobs behind the scene. No sense in giving a troll what he wants right. lets save some kids from genetic disease, that is all that really matters right? |

If I am heavily criticized on tribalwar, it is because I speak my mind in all things, and that's the only way I like it. If you are being criticized for your belligerent behavior on the WCG forum, it has nothing at all to do with me being unfairly criticized for completely different reasons. Oh, so Beren agrees with your behavior because he had a post removed? Seriously, some of the people on Tribalwar need more experienced of moderated, adult message boards. They're not inherently immature people, they're just used to an extreme climate. PS: 52/26 = 2, not 3. |

The title of his thread was "[WCG] (learn to hate our competitors)" and it was very tongue in cheek all the way through. I agree. The title of the thread, and the content, was clearly for humor and an attempt at rallying more TW members to the cause of distributed number crunching. It was posted in the "rough but .. rough" manner of TribalWar, and it would not have worked any other way. Likewise, mr_luc has made a tremendous PR effort, keeping interest at a rising high, but I still don't agree with the METHODS by which he has done this. There was no need for the "stomach-punching" picture, or the "filthy hippies" picture, or for any of the "MOT IS EVIL" propaganda to be made public HERE. I tried to describe the difference as the one between what you say - what kinds of jokes you make - among friends after work, and what you can say and joke about at work. Apparently, mr_luc didn't understand that at all, since he works from home (and because he doesn't want to understand it). Understand this, luc: I like your dedication. I do not like your aggressiveness. Go ahead and "heavily criticise" me for saying so, but it remains my opinion. Clearly something that happened on these forums, i.e. deleted posts, oversensitivity and some other issues caused the "diatribe". What TribalWar veterans need to realize is that a removed post on these boards is not a personal insult. It is the moderators' prerogative to maintain a civil tone here, this is THEIR "playground" just like TribalWar is ours. They wouldn't last five seconds on our turf, and obviously, some of TribalWar's finest aren't holding up very well in here. (I'm still freaked out over the over-the-top cuddly-wuddly pink-fluff baby-crib cutesy-woosey "I'm your bestest pal" attitude, but I'm coping.) |
