Since 2008 started, I keep on getting the subject message. I have by now read a number of comments on this, please believe me my clock is set to 2008, but I am not getting anywhere. World community grid is therefore not getting any results from me, a pity...
What can I do? Have been running Windows XP Professional for years now.. Ralf |

The BOINC version would have been of interest, but before please visit the BOINC program dir and tell us the ca-bundle.crt validity period. Mine expires 11.Jul.2009

I am currently running the BOINC client version 5.10.30.
The validity of ca-bundle.crt expires July 11, 2009. Hope that is of help! Cheers Ralf |

Dont know as that was the last possibility. You indicate that you have it since 1.1.2008. Last year we had a certificate expiration issue server side. Certainly none of the systems here act up. Can you post the top 40 lines of your client_state.xml file. There are some encoded time records in there. The numbers indicate seconds since 1.1.1970. Maybe they are off or not updating.

I've been having the same error even from last year. Seems no way to be fixed. I cannot find a solution to it and therefore some of my rigs jumped to rosseta@home to not waste my CPU cycles. If there is a fix, I will switch back.

As yet we have no indication why this happens to include your cases that started last year. When? If you performed all the checks proposed in the Start Here forum FAQs and other post on th topic for points to verify, I can only propose to un-install BOINC, erase the BOINC folders and reinstall from an official source, best the download page of WCG (Link on homepage). WCG needs functioning secure connection hence the additional certificate part guaranteed to be included the 'recommended' releases.

The problem seems to occur using the alpha version 6 for the boinc client, I have seen it on 6.1.5 I have not yet checked it on version 6.1.7. I have seen this where I have been testing that verision. It does not appear to happen on the release version for me anyway.

Report it to BOINC, please.
We're not going to get into it here. |
