That is the same error I got. Also, where do you get version 6??
I thought the latest is v5.10.30 By the way here is the error under version 6 from the log file: 2/1/2008 7:39:16 PM|World Community Grid|Sending scheduler request: Project initialization. Version 6.1.x are alpha. For support you need to be at the Berkeley developers forum. Until you see a 6.2.x being offered, there is no beta release. WCG has run beta cycle in past. For that see the Beta Test Announcement forum. http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/listthreads?forum=181
----------------------------------------Get hold of the official packages as offered on the WCG download page For windows it's release 5.10.30. It includes the proper security certificate needed to be able to communicate with the WCG servers. The Start Here forum has several FAQs on the topic. The next official version is thought to be 5.10.40. There is no must to upgrade as it specifically includes fixes for Vista and Proxies.

TheBorks, Rom Walton over at BOINC has recently made a change which may relate to your problem. He says it will appear in the next release.
I would appreciate it if you could try it out and verify that it solves your problem. Thank you. |

It'll (hopefully) be fixed in 6.1.9 (Rom put in a fix).
----------------------------------------I say (hopefully) as I am about to go crazy that every 24 hours BOINC 'forgets' that I updated the ca-bundle the day before. With each contact of the WCG servers the error is back. Ah fun, testing. ![]()

I've built trunk, and I can confirm the fix works.
For anyone not alpha testing - go back to the 5.10 branch, please. |

I've built trunk, and I can confirm the fix works. David, mind sending me the 6.1.9 boinc.exe? I tried building trunk but canceled after I hit the 45th error in the build processes. Additionally, don't know if this is a BOINC or WCG bug, but I've done this a couple of times the past couple of days: download the ca-bundle from Trac, save it in the data directory and not rename it from ca-bundle.crt.txt to ca-bundle.crt When I then restart BOINC it stops bugging me about the CA certificate as well.

If the build was broken (I think it was, recently), it should be fixed now.
----------------------------------------My build has some (a lot) of my code in it, and it's a debug build. Still want it? [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 14, 2008 2:45:19 AM] |

If the build was broken (I think it was, recently), it should be fixed now. I just updated to 14738 and tried to build again, no go. I then updated 5.10 and tried to build that. 5.10.42 builds without a problem. Build: 7 succeeded, 0 failed, 2 up-to-date, 0 skipped It isn't my VS2005EE setup. My build has some (a lot) of my code in it, and it's a debug build. Still want it? Sure. That's what I usually build for myself anyway. I can build boinc.dll, just not the rest. So I only need boinc.exe as the manager hasn't changed overnight, last I checked. ;)

The last one is still the latest one valid thru mid 2009. A download link is in the Start Here Forum FAQ.
