By the way, I now have three pages of Pending Validation work units. Dengue drugs means I finish work units mad fast but they spend a lot of time in PV jail. I can't wait till they all clear though! They also make up the only work units that have ever failed on me. 8 FAILURES all on 11/05/07. Anyone else have this experience?

I wanted to share some of my favourite music with y'all. I'm curious what you guys are listening to as well. While I've exclusively listed metal and hard rock in this brief posting, I'm also a fan of classical music (primarily Tchaikovsky and Chopin), jazz (mostly Miles Davis and Dave Brubeck), opera (anything Andrea Bocelli or Sarah Brightman),

Tool is the most critically aclaimed band on this list. While they're often listed as metal (not in any way) or hard rock (more plausible), their lyrics and songs as of late have progressed into a spiritual realm characterised by some of the best guitarwork and lyrics around. Not to worry, Tool continues their political commentary in the two songs I've listed. Vicarious is a thoughful consideration of America's fetish with reality tv, 24 hours news, and public tragedy. The Pot demands an answer to the question of why marijuana remains illegal while other (arguably more destructive) drugs are not.

The Pot

DRAGONFORCE is a speed metal band that can best be described as "Resurrected Hair Metal where they actually know how to play their instruments." Their two guitarists are regarded as two of the greatest guitarists to ever play the instrument. The two recommended songs are

Through the fire and the flames
and
Operation Ground and Pound

Killswitch Engage are a hardcore/metal band with an incredible lead singer. Strap in and prepare to get aurally pwned.

The End of Heartache (some metal screaming)

My Curse

Protest the Hero are a post-punk hardcore band with incredible lyrics. There is quite a bit of debate on whether or not they're Christian or not (their lyrics seem to suggest that they are), but regardless, they're 100% awesome.

The Divine Suicide of K

Korn is a hardrock/pseudometal band known for their provocative and thought-provoking lyrics. Their latest song EVOLUTION forward the hypothesis that the human race isn't progressing anymore, but is actively choosing to devolve.
