Verizon FIOS.. Technically 30mbit down/15mbit up
$89.95/month..love it! biggrin

@ Movieman
I also have Verizon FiOS. I have the 25/15 package with the extreme HD TV and basic phone service is only ~ $109/month in northern VA. I'm surprised to see you pay that much just for the internet service? Or is that a package deal?

Re: Speed Test The Global Broadband Speed Test

Might try it first thing in the morning next time I'm in, to see if it's any faster?
It's already much impressive as it is, particularly the upload speed. If you want to participate to the huge DDDT2 project which is under tests you should not have any problem. smile

Cheers. Jean.

Unfortunately, I don't get into the office that often, I don't have any permanent devices there and I can't run it on our intranet-based PCs either. I'm not a hands-on techie any more, so my days of running the test lab are a few years behind me.

I wish I did have some crunchers there as I'm sitting right on the backbone. Perfect for DDDT2!

Re: Speed Test The Global Broadband Speed Test

Doing the test again from the office as soon as I got in this morning showed a slight improvement in all stats, but I changed my local server to London and check out that upload speed!!

Not even in the same city. Some 40 miles away by my calculations biggrin

... but our office network runs right along the ISP backbone, which might explain the connection speed.
